Yes I enjoyed the game too. I agree that we are not in Year 2 and it seems like in the last four years there has been “fits and starts.” I understand the frustration. When I said “here” I was not so much referring to the outcome this season, I was more referring to having 8 or 9 players that you could actually put into a D-1 game and compete.... no one wants to be middle-of-the road. I think we have enough talent with more coming that we can make the big move up that everybody wants.

This. \MAD Doctor wrote: ↑Sat Feb 16, 2019 5:48 pmI enjoyed the game today and like Coach Fox as a person, but aspiring to be a middle of the road Sun Belt team is selling us all short, and not where we should be. We might not be Kentucky or Duke but we can sure be better than the status quo. This is not Year 2. Let’s see how the year plays out but I’m sure hoping DG is busy behind the scenes to see what’s possible.
We had a great time at the game today and wish this crowd and wins would become the norm.

Definitely the best crowd I've seen all year. I never paid much attention to Will until he got kicked out and now I laugh more at him than I watch the game...
Forrest is something else. He's got to be banged up and bruised after today however he kept on getting on. I enjoy watching him with the ball and accelerating to the basket with ease.

Forrest is really good at drawing fouls. He’s a resilient player. I know Williams and Battle were really good high school football players, but Forrest looks like he could play fullback for us.

I noticed that Noah Brown was the only somewhat recent player recognized with the b-ball alums. He was as pure of a shooter as I remember playing at App, other than Rufus Leach. For some reason Brown has come back quite a few times over the years, although he was from Texas.

That seems apparent. It’s just interesting that he’s one of the only players in the modern era that I’ve seen return.

Who all was there yesterday? I was supposed to make the trip, but wasn't able to at the last minute.

I was there... first time ever solo at an App game (football or basketball)... Rest of the fam had other commitments, but I was hell bent to get my 4th poster!!! Good game (especially the win), and crowd. In case anybody noticed Zac being notably absent from the autograph session... My 15 year old, cyber-stalking daughter informed me as soon as I got home (before I could tell her he wasn’t there), that he was at Biltmore with his girlfriend!

We have talent. Enough to win our share in this conference. That’s my frustration,we’ve got four players that could start or atleast get 20 minutes for any team in the Belt. And one of them comes off our bench. We also have a couple of role players that could contribute across the league. My take is that when we win, we win on talent alone.A good coach has you doing the small things , the almost unnoticeable intangibles, that can carry you night in and night out. That’s where consistency comes from. All of these things can be taught and executed by a decent athlete. Combine this with talent and you challenge for the top. We don’t have it.
