There's also rumblings that his relationship with Corn Cobb isn't the best.

Georgia State has no idea the damage Corn Cobb can do to a basketball program.
Charlie, give Mr. Caple another go at it!

Re: Ron Hunter one foot out the door
Hunter's packing for NO/Tulane should be no issue for Cobb. He's got a direct line to Jason Capel's digs in Pittsburg. Problem solved. Could Cobb be that foolish--twice?

Re: Ron Hunter to Tulane
It has come out now that Hunter asked for an long-term extension last fall and Cobb said no. Hunter wanted to retire at GSU, then move into TV and with Turner nearby, it made sense. But Cobb refused an extension, even stopped returning calls from Hunter's agent. It's seeming like Cobb wanted the most successful coach in GSU Basketball history out so he could make his own hire, which is so egotistical it's amazing.
So Hunter was ready to go and considering what he did for Georgia State Basketball, I don't blame Hunter at all. And the GSU fans are PISSED at Cobb.
Funny enough, Cobb's contract expires at the end of June.

They should bring in Julius Hodge. He might have more coaching experience than Cobb wants, though.

Re: Ron Hunter to Tulane
Capel and Hodge were both co-sideline commentators at the NC State - UNC game a while back. While Capel was speaking, Hodge kept rolling his eyes, it was hilarious. Unfortunately, that might have been the last time he's done any commentating.NavyApp wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2019 10:37 amThe Jewels of Harlem!
