When I started speaking yesterday Arky had 6 points, by the time I shut up they had 28. I damn sure wasn't going to make that mistake again!

Can we say the team exhibits bi-polar behavior?

They do, which is what happens with a young team without a lot of depth. And I will say it gets old that this team is young for the 5th or 6th straight season. Eventually Kermit has to hold onto some of these guys.

What I think is occurring is that the team is put into position to win on days they can. When it gets away, Kermit cuts bait and takes the L to fight another day. Mid-week games haven't mattered for over a month. Fridays are tough because we're facing the Sun Belt's best arms, so we try to maximize wins on Saturday and Sunday with the good arms we have.

If we finish top six and avoid the play-in game, we could have a legit shot at making a run since it minimizes the games we'll have to play.

So what are we losing players to? Transfer, early graduation, what?

Just like last Summer, rain, then more damn rain! I sure hope this summer isn't as wet as last. I only had one camp/kayak trip down the South Branch Potomac River in West Virginia last summer/fall. Would like at least three this season. Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled program, now scheduled for 4PM.

It seems to me that this team is running out of steam due to youth and lack of depth as everyone else is finding their bats. South Alabama is really hot and hitting the ball well.

Five games left in the regular season, hopefully they can get a couple or more wins before it ends. They definitely seem to be running out of steam. However, they're showing much improvement over the past few seasons (at the end of the day, as they say).

Have to agree that we seem to be fading or losing momentum (at least relative to our opponents). Hopefully we can avoid the sweep today. I thought USA had lost one of their weekend starting pitchers so maybe they'll be thin today. I thought it was their Friday pitcher but maybe they shifted the others forward. Someone else might know. Regardless, we've exceeded all predictions and won some good games/series this season. That's significant improvement and I think we will continue to improve.
