Re: SBC OTF Championships
I think all 12 schools compete in WOTF and 10 schools compete in MOTF. A few schools have not earned points yet.

Re: SBC OTF Championships
We just don't have the numbers or depth to compete for an OTF title. We also didn't get the number of points we usually get from our distance runners.

Re: SBC OTF Championships
How much better is the SBC than SoCon in OTF or have we fallen off?
App dominated OTF before.

Re: SBC OTF Championships
Perhaps a bit of both, the Belt is much deeper and perhaps we have lost a step.

Re: SBC OTF Championships
And the last few years of SoCon T&F did not have us dominate like in years past. Samford was coming on strong as we were exiting.
I am not sure how many SoCon schools sent enough athletes to truly compete in all the events. App and WCU seemed to do that but other schools maybe not so much. It is much easier to win a meet if you have 40 athletes (or whatever the number needed is) going up against 10 athletes.
I think the SB has a few teams sending very few athletes to T&F meets but more teams send more athletes is one part of this. I think the times may be a bit faster but winning times are about the same based on comments by others (I have not done that research) but the 2nd, 3rd, 4th place times are a bit faster. More depth really.
And we may be off a bit. We seem to be struggling more in the field events as a rule.
