when punting - yes --- with kick-offs it is tricky because you absolutely don't want to kick it out of bounds and give them the ball on the 35 ---
I agree with you - to a point...I'd rather give them the ball at the 35 (or whatever it would be if the rules have changed) than give up 7 and momentum. Of course, they could always force us to rekick, like Richmond a few seasons back, and put us further behind the 8 ball.

The cure is to have sound kick coverage teams.

yeah beau I believe the rule is the ball is placed 30 yards from where it was kicked - unless they changed that as well --- :mrgreen:
