Huge fan of this. Lines us up well for 2020 at the linebacker spot. And gives him a year of learning his dads system to possibly take over for Fehr next year.Apple@chin1 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 11:41 amThe writing was on the wall.

Re: Possible new LB?
Roof seems like a no nonsense kind of guy, honestly. He's got good high school tape though. Looks like he could be an impact guy in Boone. His sideline to sideline speed reminds me a bit of Luke Kuechly when you see him bust through the line to take down a running back trying to stretch out a play. Obviously he's not Luke Kuechly but he looks pretty darn quick.Yosef84 wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2019 4:11 amI'm all about having as much talent as possible, but there is a part of me also that doesn't like the father/son thing on a team. There's always the potential of it undermining team cohesion and causing resentments if the son winds up starting. I'm sure Roof would handle the situation with integrity but it's a risk.

Good frame with experience, coach's kid, a year to learn system, need replacements for Fehr,Davis etc...
I like it.
Wonder if we have any scholarships left in case an OL transfer wanted to join? we need some depth there too

Looks like a solid add! Glad to have him. He looks like he has the physical tools and coach's kids usually play smart. He has played for two P5 programs. They weren't top tier P5 but that's still solid experience. Welcome to Boone!
