UNC @ Wake (9/13)

Seems about over. Carolina went for it on 4th and 22 at Wake 45. Turned it over on downs.

What I’m seeing says we can play with UNC. Wake just barley beat a good Mt. West team and they are dominating UNC. I also took a look at Wakes roster. They are a little bigger than us but not huge on either line. I can see our backs and our receivers getting it done and Zach can get the ball over the top on them. Our D needs to come out with a major chip on their shoulder and get after the QB. If Wake finishes our guys will remember two years ago and build confidence from our close game with Wake. It’s not over but I feel much better about next week.

Carolina’s weakness on defense is at corner at Wake is exploiting them with big receivers.

We really have to hope for Sutton to be back and warmed up for the season in his first game.

I would love to be wrong...but I dont think most people realize what a tough out North Carolina can be. Are we a better program? Of course. But they can score quickly and always get stud athletes. Hope wake crushes their spirit....the heels should not be taken lightly.

Your completely correct. I was not confident at all after last week, but seeing this and hearing some of the good news about our team refocusing and working together has me a little hopeful. UNC will be a tough game and they will be favored, but they are very beatable.

This is what i didn't really want for us. I think the UNC D will adjust and the UNC O will get better. Also don't think our D line can get the same kind of pressure that Wake's has.

If we are good enough and as good as we think we are this year, we'll go in and win the game regardless of what happens tonight or how tough they are to close out.
We don't have to be lucky or catch UNC looking ahead to beat them. We just have to continue our offensive and special teams prowess and go out an play the defense we are capable of playing.

I’m not seeing it being so much the size of the receivers as some accurate throws and good receivers. Zach has shown that he can put the ball in the right spot and we have guys who can catch the ball.

Another UNC blunder has finally come back to bite them. Wow. Prob doesn’t bode well for our team, as they’ll make good adjustments. Just sort of shocks me that Mack has been mismanaging games like this.
