Jamal Jackson
I don't really post much on this site, I mainly read the great discussions, but I had a curious idea. Do you think Jamal could possibly take an injury redshirt year and play in 2014? Obviously he would have to be interested in this idea, as well as eligible for it as well. I believe it was assumed he would be healthy for the fall season. It just seems unfortunate there is not a whole lot left for him as well as the other seniors to play for.

Re: Jamal Jackson
Ummmm...no. Unless he's legitimately hurt, he can't take a year. Even if they tried, no guarantee it's approved by NCAA. Already used his standard RS.
Also...seen a few draftniks tout his NFL potential...so there is plenty for him to play for.

I'd like to see that about JJ getting NFL looks now, because not long ago when Quick was drafted the scouts said that Quick didn't have a QB that could get him the ball.appgrad wrote:Ummmm...no. Re: Jamal Jackson
Unless they have changed in the last year or so, there is no such thing as a "Medical Redshirt" in NCAA terminology. The use of a medical redshirt is totally up to the conference in which the university plays. The NCAA does not have a say in the matter.appgrad wrote:Ummmm...no.
