DT also stripped the ball against Coastal but they recovered. He's having a monster season. He and Chris Willis may take us back to Hunter/Merrill days!!!Mjohn1988 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 12:28 pmCan’t agree more, the stop is first but in the past I don’t remember seeing our guys go after the ball. DT was going after the ball when he got fumbles from UNCC and UNC. Sometimes guys just make a good hit and the ball comes out but in both of those game changing plays the ball was purposely taken.

Re: UCF
To those on this board that have been asking, "Why would a coach like Roof, with all his experience, etc. want to come to Boone or would not be coaching as the top dog at a P5 program? Surely there is something wrong with him or he is not that good."
Well here is a good article about elder coaches in the industry and some of the rationale for roles other than head coach. As you get older sometimes you want to stay in the game but understand you have a balance in life. We know Roof has had many gigs and apparently a lot of others in the industry must think highly of him or he wouldn't still be in the business. There are many ways a coach can contribute to a program. We must all realize that. I think Drink understands that. We also have a coaching STAFF where each individual brings different things to the table regardless of title. A good head coach uses ALL his tools to get results. That is what I expect Drink to do with his staff.
