I don't want to criticize the prof because he sounds like someone I would have enjoyed when in school and also a great asset to App State. But I was taken aback by how legitimately suprised he seemed by the students, particularly the first guy Jackson. These kids he talks about with a bit of suprise all sound like the majority of kids I knew 20 years ago at App and a majority of the adults I know now, if I'm being honest.
I'd like to congratulate this professor for getting away from the insular, closed-minded world of NYC academia and making his way to Boone and App State where he seems to have been able to burst his little worldview bubble.
