Talking about SOS...... here we rank 72, but higher than Boise, Memphis, Minnesota, Temple & Wake. Just below SMU.

Interesting website!

Sagarin has our SoS ranked 126th...Boise St., 87th. Sounds like SoS might be an inexact science.

Down to APP -14.5

The public has gone against APP last 2 weeks. We aren’t missing any key players.

When I posted the opening thread around 2 PM Sunday Vegas Insider had the opening APP -17.5 to ULM.

Last Sunday it opened APP -2 to ULL and was ULL -2.5 near game time.

I went to the Monroe game two years ago when we lost. Yikes. I like Louisiana— but Monroe was pretty nondescript. I’d be curious where visiting teams stay with a full service hotel. there’s negative talk about Boone not having a full service hotel but I’d be surprised if Monroe had one to accommodate college football teams. And ULM campus reminded me of a 1960s community college campus. I’m not trying to be condescending, but it wasn’t attractive. Interesting athletic facilities. The football stadium “home” side was huge, like they were planning to have a 60,000 seat stadium at some point. The away side was way out of scale. They had beer on sale I remember and attendance from students and fans in general was abysmal. Given that Louisiana population is about 4.5 million vs 10.5 million for NC, I would think all of the Louisiana schools except LSU would struggle for exposure and attendance. It’s great to be a Mountaineer!

He mentions their backup RB is the most questionable to play with injury.

Also it is hard to get to Boone...
He'll probably be complaining about how hard the hike is up to the locker room after the game too.

After seeing a couple of Duke games on TV, did anyone else notice how far the opposing teams had to go to get to the visiting locker rooms? The Quinn Center is much closer in comparison.

I've been to Wallace Wade back in the mid '70s when Clemson went 50 yards out of the south end zone for their halftime meeting.

Guess they didn't want Duke to overhear their half time conversation. j/k

The below graphic uses Wk7 SP+ Overall Offense and Overall Defense Ratings to show every team's position in both.

The best offenses on the right, the worst on the left.
The best defenses on the bottom, the worst on the top.
The closer a team is to the bottom right corner, the better they are in both.

At Coastal last year, our team was in a shed out behind the bleachers. Most of them were outside sitting around in the pavement. I think it was a result of the construction, so I'd say our opponents having to walk up a hill to go INSIDE a heated building is probably better.

At the corner of 30 horizontal/35 vertical, under FSU and Wake.

Interested the results that App State and Wake are getting vs. FSU

Considered about covering ULM’s TEs tomorrow, we’ve not seen a team that uses that position very much this year.

Coach Viator has had our number in the past. Hope we are ready.
