Re: TX St discussion
The only thing anyone on that committee will see of this game is the final score, which is fine.

And Troy got crushed by ULL..... It all doesn't matter. Just win the games decisively.mountaineerman wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 7:10 pmI’m sure they didn’t play in the s$$t weather either and Tex st was only down a score at half against smu

Re: TX St discussion
Just a comment - I don't know how many football games I have seen in my 70 years but it is in the 1000s but I can never remember seeing a game where at the end of the half or game with less than 15 seconds on the clock and over 50 yards to go where the defense did not have a single deep defender -

I said this earlier in the thread and it will be with me forever so bad! But they did recover in second half.and we are 10-1 amazing!WVAPPeer wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 7:38 pmJust a comment - I don't know how many football games I have seen in my 70 years but it is in the 1000s but I can never remember seeing a game where at the end of the half or game with less than 15 seconds on the clock and over 50 yards to go where the defense did not have a single deep defender -![]()

Re: TX St discussion
I heard on the radio, after the game, that they seemed to always slant and put extra defenders on the side that we ran. It sounds like maybe we have become predictable in showing which side we are running to by our line-up OR they possible are stealing our signs.

Louisiana is a very good ball team. If we play them like we did Texas State, they will plow us.appstatealum wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 7:15 pmAnd Troy got crushed by ULL..... It all doesn't matter. Re: TX St discussion
Texas State has lost a bunch of games but they put up points against everybody. I don’t think their as bad as most of us, myself included, thought they were. Neither SMU or ULL beat them much worse than we did. I haven’t watched any of their games but looking at their record in whole I don’t feel as bad about our showing as I did during the game.

Re: TX St discussion
It’s funny how things change. Just 4 minutes before this post you complained about how much we run the ball. Don’t take it personally, I just notice this a lot from fans. They hate the runs that go for 2 or 3 yards and love the runs that end up in the end zone.
