I know the Rivera talk is mostly a joke, but seriously, he'll likely have another NFL HC job next year or the year after at the latest.

He would be a perfect fit for the NY Giants. I'm an old Redskin fan and would love to have him.

DG has Riverboat Ron in the back pocket. No worries.
I mean, would any one actually be upset about that?

Theoretically, he has enough money and is a former NFL coach. Herm Edwards will have Arizona State in the CFP discussion within two years as well.

Anyone know if he's ever been up to Boone?
I would expect our defense to continue their strong ways if Ron came on board. He'd also likely be more aggressive at times - places where we've criticized Satt and Drink in the past.

But that's likely to never happen, so...
You know, this isn't that crazy. In fact I love it! Ron, Herm, and Lovie all belong in the college ranks. They truly believe in teaching the craft and teaching how to be a better man. I know it's unlikely to happen but I would love to see how Ron would build a program. The man is the epitome of class and professionalism.
Herm and Lovie’s time had passed in the NFL. While Ron’s time ended with the Panthers, probably the best move for both parties, he isn’t done in the NFL. He is still in his “prime window” and he made t clear he wants to win a Super Bowl. I’m pretty sure winning the RL, Cotton Bowl or the SunBelt won’t fill that void for him.

Yeah, Ron will have another job as an HC probably by end of February if I were guessing. He's well respected by players and staff throughout the league and is a good head coach. Better than many other options, for sure.

I believe he's one who could maintain our culture in Boone, should he ever decide to take that chance.

I don't know. A Ford Taurus was seen leaving Boone for Charlotte on Tuesday. DG drives a Taurus.

Has any of the team asked Drink what’s going on and what was the answer? AND NOW it’s time to put this in the Moose Lodge

Have you heard something, or is this just a general inquiry?

General inquiry. Also Coach’s name surfaced in BC job search.

Lots of smoke with Kiffin. I feel much better after reading and doing some research. They talked with Kiffin for 4 hours on Sunday according to the local tv station. I think we might be good this year fellas.

With the Arkansas job at least.. rumor Mills have Norvell from Memphis going to FSU.. Drink will be an option for many schools that can pay more than us.

ULaLa's AD has publically said he's expecting Napier to be gone too, so we aren't alone.

Something to watch for the Iggles that are getting a kick out of this -- Monken is a candidate for Mizzou. If that happens, Lundsford would have to be a top candidate for Army given how few people run the middle school offense any more. I know Lundsfords not tied to that offense, but it's all he's ran as a head coach.

Interesting about Norvell to FAU. Smh on that on one. Lundsford to Army would be funny.
