He has interviewed several times over the last year. A finalist for at least one. Yet, he is still here.

Re: Doug Gillin?
I have a reliable source that says DG brought in Drink as an temporary HC to give our real guy another year to gain experience. He then sold him off to Mizzou knowing the guy couldn't recruit but could hold the place together for a year while the fan base got over the loss of Satt. Things are all going according to DG's grand plan.

Are you sure your guy source isn't completely full of crap and just filling in a back story to what is actually happening?mike87 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 2:33 pmI have a reliable source that says DG brought in Drink as an temporary HC to give our real guy another year to gain experience. When a HC leaves, it falls upon the AD to make to hiring decision, subject to the trustees approval of course. If we must find a new AD, is there a search committee formed? And who is our current asst. AD that would most likely be the acting AD in the interim?

Jonathan is a professional, and a solid dude. Former App state baseball player too. He would at least be a decent interim, if not moreasu66 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 2:43 pmJonathan Reeder Executive Associate Athletics Director/CFOappst1979 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 9:49 amIf it happens, losing Gillin would be a tremendous loss. Re: Doug Gillin?
And to all you "be thankful for this year. Don't be so grumpy about our bowl team. Don't get mad we didn't make NY6.....". And all that other crap. This is why THIS year was important. Losing an AD and a Coach is a tough row to hoe and could be a program killer. As I said before, you have to strike while the iron is hot. This isnt something we can't overcome, I just pray we have the right Captains guiding this ship for the next few weeks/months.

Re: Doug Gillin?
This explains why Doug wasn’t vocal about our ranking and Cincy not dropping further...

What worries me much more than DG leaving is who does the hiring of his replacement.
