Agreed re: the alumni tailgate. It’s worth the spend and the food and all you can drink were not to bad either. If you have the time and can afford the meal, Brennan’s is a MUST DO for Breakfast/Lunch on Royal St. Have to get reservation now though as they book fast.wncapp78 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 9:36 pmI’ll be there again, just like all previous bowls.

I will be glad to do this as I am unable to go. What do I need to do to make a contribution?Saint3333 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 8:04 pmI hope we’re able to bring a good crowd and support this team and the players.
I personally can’t go due to other obligations, but I’ve donated two tickets to Student Yosef Club members who will be attended. The students did an amazing job packing the Rock all year, let’s get as many down there as possible!

Will be about 16 or so in our group. Several of us will run the Dashing Through the Dome Friday night. Did it last year and it was a lot of fun. Free beer and food after the run. Oh and if you see Appy Clause, you will see me. If you see TD Santa, you will see PBR. He has the daddy (original) and I have the son. Go Apps!!

I’ve seen you at just about every road trip. Cheers. I met BeerHatGuy after the NO Bowl in the Superdome concourse last year, great guy. It seemed he had consumed his fair share of PBRs that night.AppState89 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 10:28 pmWill be about 16 or so in our group. Two of us flying down Wednesday, early dinner at Willie Mae's Scotch House for their world famous fried chicken, then over to Frenchman Street for some local jazz. Thursday and Friday staying out on the lake. Saturday heading towards the Superdome area. Tis great to be a MOUNTAINEER!

I'm usually the one with shorts and t-shirt on while everyone else has jeans and coats on. My wife tells me I'm weird. Just take a lot to get me cold. Been like that my entire life. I'm usually at most of the away games. Tell me hello in NOLA. He probably consumed bourbon he somehow snuck into the game. You got it. See you down there. My kids got a pic with App Santa this past Saturday, they will be looking to get another down in NoLA. I’m guessing that was your wife I met down on the field with Santa Saturday.AppState89 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 11:46 pmI'm usually the one with shorts and t-shirt on while everyone else has jeans and coats on. Re: NOLA Roll Call
I've only been to one bowl game, the Camellia bowl (Apps first), and did the Alumni tailgate (it was $50) and was great. I figured this $99 pre-game event would be similar...anyway, if I can swing it I'll definitely go to the App sponsored pre-game eventASU03Grad wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 10:14 pmThat seems high. Don’t remember exactly but I feel like it was only around $50-$60 last year. Tons of great food and open bar. Definitely worth the price.APP93 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 9:45 pmIs this the app state pre-game event for $99 being advertised on goasu?wncapp78 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 9:36 pmI’ll be there again, just like all previous bowls.
Suggestion—sign up for the Alumni Pregame shindig. It’s in the Club of the Super Dome. It’s pricey but worth it. Last year over 600 Apps attended.
And the tailgating area outside the dome isn’t great at all.

Re: NOLA Roll Call
I haven't seen one for this year's bowl advertised yet but last year's event cost $45 and included all-you-can drink beer/wine and lasted 3 hours so a jump to $99 a head would be substantial.APP93 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 9:45 pmIs this the app state pre-game event for $99 being advertised on goasu?wncapp78 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 9:36 pmI’ll be there again, just like all previous bowls.

The Alumni Tailgate plans have not been finalized. Those plans will be finalized and communicated as soon as possible.HkyMtneer wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 6:29 amI haven't seen one for this year's bowl advertised yet but last year's event cost $45 and included all-you-can drink beer/wine and lasted 3 hours so a jump to $99 a head would be substantial.APP93 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 9:45 pmIs this the app state pre-game event for $99 being advertised on goasu?wncapp78 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 9:36 pmI’ll be there again, just like all previous bowls.

The $99 deal is through the travel folks and includes a bus ride to and from the game. Stay tuned for the real alumni tailgate info.

Re: NOLA Roll Call
The $99 event is not the same as the alumni tailgate. Please wait for details from Alumni Affairs.APP93 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 6:17 amI've only been to one bowl game, the Camellia bowl (Apps first), and did the Alumni tailgate (it was $50) and was great. Re: NOLA Roll Call
I thought last years was very well done. It was in the super dome all you can eat and drink. Very Impressive walking up to the super dome might I add.DaphneUrquhart wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 9:52 amThe $99 event is not the same as the alumni tailgate. Re: NOLA Roll Call
Thanks for the clarification...yes, I did the alumni assoc. tailgate for the first Camellia bowl and it was more that worth the price (I believe it was $50)...I will wait for those detail. Still not sure I will be going yet, airfare out of Greensboro/Raleigh/Charlotte is a bit pricey.

No, she didn't make the game. Most likely it was Zac's mother or aunt.appstatealum wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 11:51 pmYou got it. See you down there.
