It's not looking so hot for those guys in the first half. A lot of sloppy play, and that wind is not helping any. Hopefully Healy can go into the locker room and make some adjustments to get the offense rolling. I would kinda like to seem them pull this off and send Lemay and Highsmith out with a win. Either way welcome to Bowl Season! #SPTA #B.O.B
Wait....why would you want to see Charlotte win again? Couldn't be more happy that they lost 31-9.
I dunno honestly, maybe it's the Christmas season coursing through my veins. Maybe it's because Charlotte means nothing to me, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! THIS AIN'T NOTHING BUT AN APP STATE PARTY THAT'S ALL!..... whoops sorry getting a little to excited for tomorrow night!#B.O.B #SPTA
Yeah...
No to Charlotte winning. Not because of competition or anything but their "fans" while small in number already have a superiority complex directed toward App. I'm not sure where the hubris comes from. Their academics, campus, location, and athletics are nothing out of the ordinary save soccer; this actually makes them far more similar to Coastal Carolina than anything. I believe I knew one person who went to UNCC from my high school. It wasn't on anyone's radar and if it was it was a 5th or 6th option. I knew some future nurses (including an ex) who went to Charlotte because of their schools tie-in with Carolinas Medical Center's main campus in uptown, but that's it.
The hubris....about as unfounded as it can get.

Yea, pulling against the CUSA pretty hard this bowl season, and the future "SEC call up" taking an L in their 1st bowl game is just another way UNC Concord will never be able to match App's success.

I guess it's not really a thing for me because I live in an area largely devoid of Charlotte alums. I've never lived in the Charlotte area either so most of the back and forth hate just doesn't resonate with me.

Charlotte alums don't really exist and the ones that do don't care about their football team.
But Charlotte "fan" insults directed at App aren't really meant to be taken with humor like insults from Georgia Southern fans. The Charlotte folks seem to have an uninherited superiority complex because they are in Charlotte. No other reason than that. They aren't UNC, NC State, Duke, or Wake Forest academically. I'd argue that they aren't even on par with ECU. Yet, they believe they are on par with App in every field and it's just not accurate.
So I won't pull for them. Point blank.

The Bahamas Bowl would be a good time if you're a 7-5 team. Think Miami would rather be in Shreveport at 6-6 or partying in the Bahamas?
If I took a trip to the Bahamas, I wouldn't waste a few hours watching UNCC v Buffalo. Based on the attendance, I think quite a few fans opted not to leave the hotel.

Lets be honest, the Bahamas are tough to get to. If App went, attendance would still be slim.
That said, I got the impression the niners and their fans got too caught up in the “just happy to be here” attitude of a bowl game. Won’t be their last so we will see what their future holds.

For all the moaning about us going to the New Orleans bowl, at least it’s played in one heck of a venue on a legit football field, not a 96 yard soccer field with 8 yard end zones. To me that is an insult to any teams deserving of a bowl.

I picked CUSA to loose every bowl game and stand by my picks. The conference is weak top to bottom

I mean if I'm in the Bahamas and there happens to be a football game, I'm not going to go. But if you're on the team, or a fan, there isn't much to hate about going to the Bahamas. It's relatively inexpensive and it's a nice destination as the cold season is setting in. I'm guessing it's fun for the programs as well.

Before they were announced for the Bahamas, they had a serious thread on their message board about going to the Belk Bowl. They can’t even fill their own undersized stadium unless App State Or N.C. A&T brings a crowd and they claimed they were attractive to the Belk Bowl.

The 9er spinners already ignoring the beat down by Buff. And reveling in their season like its 12-0

I don’t disagree with that. But they are a brand new program that hasn’t had a lot of success. So it’s understandable.
Look, I’m no UNCC fan and I find their online fans to be terrible, but we spend a heck of a lot of time talking about them. Way more than any other teams we play. I just find our constant focus on them to be a little distasteful and makes it apparent to me that we are worried about them. It would behoove us to ignore them completely.

They aren't "brand new" and the lack of fan support is not at all "understandable". Almost every point you make is wrong in my opinion. We don't focus on them. We don't talk about them more than any other team we play and if you have been paying attention you would clearly see that we most definitely not "worried" about them. "Distasteful"? What does that even mean? They are the closest G5 competition so yeah they are naturally on the radar. Most of their vocal fans are delusional and impossible to ignore. It's pretty simple really, they asked for it and they got it.

I’ll check back with you at the end of bowl season. If we have two pages of comments on each of our conference foes in their bowl games, I’ll admit I’m wrong.
