They’re frustrating to watch on offense, but I’m going to get to be frustrated watching them in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament quarterfinals.

Now there ya go, guys! The "do over" SENIOR NIGHT had a proper ending and it was the seniors (Johnson, Williams and Seacat) that led the way!asu66 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2020 1:58 pmOK, Apps...I hope someone on the team reads this before the tip-off of tonight's game at HCC. Here's the deal in a nutshell...
It's almost never that a college basetball team earns the opportunity for a "do-over" in the same season...in the same month...in fact, just ten days since you let the CC Beach Chickens run you off your home court in front of your largest crowd of the season with visiting recruits looking on--and on SENIOR NIGHT to boot. Not your best work!
Well, you have been blessed by the BIG COMMISSIONER in Heaven with a "once in a life-time do-over opportunity." It's a night for a perfect storm. Almost the same situation--only better--yet another record crowd for the season; yet another shot at the Beach Chickens; another chance for redemption on that SENIOR NIGHT fade-away; and to cap the evening with a huge win that'll punch your ticket to the 2020 Sun Belt MBB Championship Tourney Quarterfinals.
Don't let this "do-over" chance slip through your fingers. Give 'em Hell, Apps!

Much better effort in the second half paid off. Free throws, well we made enough. Coastal deserves a lot of credit. They were on fumes the last ten minutes but were right there. Now on to Texas State !

Glad to see Kerns made adjustments and started taking the ball inside.
Couple a key calls went our way down the stretch.
I hope all incoming recruits can shoot free throws still way too misses there.

Did no one on here know it was Spring Break week for the students?
A lot on offense didn't go right in the first half, but the effort was there. We don't win this game without effort from multiple players, especially Forrest.

I must admit, I thought the hole that was dug in the first half was too deep to get out of. Great win, would love to see us win it all. Nevertheless, tonight's win might be enough to get a CIT invite. We'll see.

Good intensity in the second half and Coastal finally missed some shots and came down to earth a little. Oh, and those free throws . . .

I missed the game so I read all the comments in order. No way in hell did I glean a victory from the unhappy fans postings. #dontgiveupsoquickly

Re: Coastal Carolina...Monday. Go App!!!!!!!
The real picture. App in first half played uninspired, settled for long threes and left CCU perimeter shooters with too much room.
At halftime adjustments were made, App starts working inside and out and driving to the basket creating much better opportunities. CCU’s legs also gave out on Meyer contested jump shots.
I’ll be watching Wednesday too win or lose.

You got to love O’Shawn....The kid never quits. He out rebounds people much taller. Kendall “The Glove” Lewis is fun to watch. I wish Isaac played with more confidence...he has great skills but doesn’t look for a shot often. SeaCat is a workhorse. Our trap with Kendall and SeaCat is potent.
Great win.
I hope this team gets another win.....they all seem to be great “classy” kids.

Tale of two halves. We didn’t comeback with lights out shooting; we did it with banging and playing like we wanted it. As for the crowd, remember that 99% of our students were out of town. About those free throws though...

Re: Coastal Carolina...Monday. Go App!!!!!!!
In the first half, Devante Jones of Coastal would easily split the double team, make his shot or find the open Chanticleer. In the second half, Kerns made adjustments and he did not split the double team as easily. A great come from behind win. There may not have been many students there, but the crowd was loud and impressive in the second half. Glad I was there with my son and his buddy to see it. Also, saw eggers76, so that was icing on the cake!!

Re: Coastal Carolina...Monday. Go App!!!!!!!
I've asked this question before, what constitutes old vs. young? I know I'm a geezer since I graduated in 87 but where is the line drawn?

Typically about 10 years older than whatever age you are.

Re: Coastal Carolina...Monday. Go App!!!!!!!
I'm not sure what the answer is to your question. Eventually everyone will get old, if they live long enough that is. Without going into a lot of detail, to a large extent age is in the mind. If you think you're old you will be. At age 64, I'm not on the same schedule as many. I still kayak, camp, fish, play softball, jog etc. The Good Lord has blessed me with good health and I plan to avoid old age as long as possible.
