“The small town of Boone, North Carolina, where App State is located, runs college football in the Carolinas.“
Possibly the best sentence I’ve ever read!

While I do really like that quote, perhaps this author needs a geography lesson as Clemson is located in the Carolinas. As much as I love App State Football, nobody can deny that Clemson actually runs college football in the Carolinas.

Re: Don't Overlook Appalachian State
Clemson has always just kind of been "down there somewhere" in regards to the sports world and geography. In a lot of personal conversations and talking head conversations Clemson is skipped over a lot in regards to the Carolinas. Its almost like if you ignore something long enough it will go away to some other state. The Clemson culture always had an Alabama, southern Georgia feel to it, not the universities but the states.

That is so true. They are about an hour from GA anyway and that part of SC has always felt like north Georgia/Alabama to me. I know it is not but it just seems to blend more with that area.appdaze wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 8:52 pmClemson has always just kind of been "down there somewhere" in regards to the sports world and geography. Being a person from/of the Carolinas, Clemson runs college football in the Carolinas. We do a damn fine job ourselves, but talk to me when beat them, and until we do, quit drinking that black and gold Kool-Aid.

I kinda like the black and gold Kool-aid myself. Especially the gold variety.
