We have debated and beaten the notion of App in the final 4. No way Jose. Like many others on here I Appsolutely love my school and bleed black and gold but I ain’t delusional. Can you imagine the pandemonium for the weeks leading up to the big App v LSU game? Then after like the first 10 minutes we would be down 28-0 and it would be miserable. Just go unbeaten and knock off a solid P5 in a bowl game.

As we've discussed ad nauseam, no G5 outside the AAC or Boise has a prayer at the 4-team Playoff.
Thankfully, we still have several important goals to achieve as a program before setting our sights on the college football playoff:
--Winning a New Years Six Bowl
-- Beating a ranked team (still haven't done this as a FBS program)
-- Having an undefeated season
--Going wire-to-wire as a ranked team
Each of these achievements will go a long way toward making our case for being in a conference that DOES have access to the Playoff, someday.
