Being winless against App State does not necessarily mean you are due for a win.

So Charlotte gets 700 tickets to this year's game. Pretty sizable amount for what should be limited seating.

They’ll return a good many. Isn’t 700 their home average when the Apps aren’t in town?

Re: App/CLT part 3
We just announced no fans for our game against Ga State about the same time we went to online classes until 10/1. Any word on fan attendance up there?

FWIW I contacted our AD about the away tickets to the game and was told nothing is being released yet. Did not sound too promising about having any fans there.

i'd be seriously surprised if App bucks the trend on this. Maybe if we had more entrances/exits like an NFL stadium we could.

Even if he moves us to Phase 3, doubt they have enough time to get it all figured out within a day to get fans for the 12th.

I'd hope for more like 30% at least.
But won't know anything until Phase 3 is announced probably.

The state of Georgia is probably not the best role model to follow when it comes to the Covid response.appstate24 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2020 3:02 pmGeorgia Southern announces 20% capacity. Hope we do something similar.

He is a Governor and not a King. He does some some latitude to make these decisions. The one lawsuit I know of that was trying to take Cooper down was shot down by the judge well enough that the person bringing the lawsuit decided to drop it and not appeal.
Can I suggest you either use the term Gov. Cooper or if that upsets you, and that is your right, just go with Cooper and leave any title out of it. If you are on friendlier terms then address him as Roy or R-boy.
And I think you may be correct about extending phase 2 for a bit longer.

Re: App/CLT part 3
I'll stick with King Cooper since he is unilaterally deciding rules that are being applied unevenly across the entire state. Bars no go, bars with food ok, private clubs with food no go, public clubs with food ok, socially distanced outdoor alpine coaster no go, protests ok, etc. Im watching friends and families businesses sink. Hell my small business was teetering back late spring early summer.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2020 3:35 pmHe is a Governor and not a King. So I will stick with King Cooper and his unilateral decision making to be enforced upon his subjects.
But yes at least 2 more weeks is my expectations.

Re: App/CLT part 3
The key is to serve food. I do admit the alpine coaster does not make sense. I have a side job at the Gboro Sci Center and I have not been there since March except for a few days over summer to help with some camps. My job in the planetarium is a no go but the aquarium and zoo are open with limited numbers. Some of it makes sense, and some I do question but I don't think it is overly arbitrary. Protests are not something he gets to ok as they are not something he is organizing but they come from the general public, and it is part of the US Constitution to be able to assemble and protest.NWA49 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2020 5:06 pmI'll stick with King Cooper since he is unilaterally deciding rules that are being applied unevenly across the entire state. Hopefully it is no longer than needed but with the universities doing what they are doing right now it is going to be hard to not see phase 2 extended.
Good luck to yourself and family and stay safe.
