It's certainly true that our players are used to a larger crowd at home, but they've also played road games at Georgia State, Texas State, South Alabama, ULM where you could practically hear crickets chirping. If you have to name an "advantage" from this factor, it might go toward Charlotte but I doubt that is significant and I would certainly hope not significant enough to effect the outcome of the game.Gonzo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 9:29 amI think it's very unlikely that we'll have fans at the first game. Now, how will that change the game?
I'm really not trying to smack talk here, but our players are used to playing in front of a large and rowdy home crowd, while playing in scarcely-attended away games in conference. UNCC players are used to poorly attended games at home and away.
Advantage 49ers?
If App shows up and executes, there should be no problem. I expect Charlotte to fight, but I also think the team remembers their lackluster performance in last year's game and will be motivated to set the record straight. That's what I'm counting on at least.
