Found this today because it is striking. Consider the source, which i do not trust, but look at the numbers of NC colleges. Contrast that to Indiana Univ. which i dropped off my freshman daughter last week. Pre arrival test within the previous 10 days-of course had to be negative. Test the morning of arrival on campus prior to moving into a dorm. those positive were sent home or quarantined. IMO, this falls squarely on state govt.

Yeah, my daughter is also a sophomore at NCSU. She is in an off campus apt. She said that the overwhelming majority of the cases are in the greek system houses. Some other clusters but also said there is no way the aggregate of 500 since March is even close to correct; many times higher than that. Not sure sending on campus students home is the correct answer and if there are a number of positive cases, they are just exporting them back to their families and communities

I have a freshman daughter at State as well... they have until Sept 6 to vacate with all of their belongings. You have to sign up for a time to pick them up... at 30 minute intervals. I don't think I can move her out in 30 minutes. I have a feeling it's going to be crazy.

If you live in an area where people are all following masking requirements, you're better off than many places in the USA, including where I live. Too many people want to ignore this thing completely and not even do the bare minimum asked of them. That's why things keep getting shut down, the people aren't proving themselves trustworthy enough to do the right things, so it will be forced on them.
