I believe Memphis was favored by -18 so Arkansas State indeed did. I expected Memphis to win by 20 so the fact it was 13 is a good sign for ASU. We need to see more SBC vs AAC scores but early on it appears the SBC is much closer to the AAC than expected. Remember that ASU was the 4th best and TSU was 2nd worst in SBC but SMU was #5 and Memphis were the AAC Champs in 2019.

Arkansas State look pretty decent on offense but their D couldn't keep up with Memphis. That seems to be their pattern in recent years.

Did the big Arky running back get hurt? They went almost completely away from the run they were successful with in the 1st half? Bad decision with the onside kick, dropped and strip passes kept the game from being a nail biter.
