The one thing I'm holding onto. If the player got a positive test close enough to the game, then in theory, the whole UNCC team would be affected by Contact Tracing. Since it's only 3 guys for UNCC affected by contact tracing, I'd hope that means it's an isolated incident.

Depends on what definition of contact they are using for the tracing. Some use more than 15 minutes exposure maskless indoors. Read: roommates or team room type scenario

I've had some time to think about Charlotte's announcement since I first posted and I hope our players aren't talking/thinking about this. Everyone needs to be focused on Saturday's game. If something changes we will deal with it. Until then it's business as usual and we should stop worrying/talking about it (me included).

He said that he talked with Charlotte officials and, position coaches are reviewing film to see how much contact our players had with UNCC's infected players. We tested on Sunday & Tuesday with 0 positives. Testing again. Keeping my fingers crossed. Great interview!!!

Also in that interview, he said last week he didn't know his starting lineup until 9PM Friday. If they test on Thursday, then it seems like a 24-36 hour turn around.

You are correct Sir. One positive test at UNCC. That individual had been around the other 3. They did not test positive. UNCC doesn’t have a QB to play the game.

Baffled why the Ncaa doesnt make the fb players use faceshields. Not masks, faceshields like a ton of Ncaa players and Nfl players have used for yrs. Would give some protection and wouldnt affect breathing etc

Face shields are horrible. They fog up. I always thought they would be better until

Charlotte was going to get a much needed check for around 400 thousand dollars...I'm sure this decision was based on tests (or a test) coming back positive.

They have rapid testing now with results in 15 minutes. I got one myself recently.

Player that tested positive on Monday was negative on Wednesday.

Seems like a clear as day false positive. Too bad NC does not acknowledge false positives.

Maybe they are bummed about not having their QB but that is how things go and they never expected to win. I hope those suggesting the QB injury are joking because we all know that Charlotte is glad to take a loss to get the money and national TV exposure.
