Bill Murray lives here in Charleston. It’s not unusual for him to show up at a high school football game, bowling alley or on a local golf course. He seems like a down to earth guy. He’s also part owner of the local minor league baseball team.

There's a little bbq joint in a community near Myrtle Beach called Socastee...take out only, a couple of picnic tables in front, right on the highway. An old shack kind of place. Here's a pic..



A lady I knew wrote an article about it for some golfing magazine that Bill read. I believe he had a nephew that was in some event, sporting contest or something in Myrtle, and he drove up from Charleston for it.

So he decides to try it out. I saw the pics and was amazed that right there at the picnic table on Socastee Boulevard in front of this joint sat Bill Murray, with the whole world driving by unknowingly.

And Bill was Bill, posing for pictures. Did he care if someone driving by noticed, got on social media and suddenly surrounded him? Nope. He and his family just sat and ate, and left for his nephews event.

He's the coolest guy that ever walked this earth.

I remember him from 78. The best SNL crew in my opinion .Melanie was a Hickory girl as I recall. Murray’s joke about Son of SAM during the homecoming concert was classic.
