Yes the numbers are significantly higher than the Campbell game. As much as I would love to have had the game next week, the right decision was made.

Is there any data to support that claim? Not being snide it’s just that all we’ve been hearing is the summer is going to be a second wave now the fall, then the winter.....boonetown1 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 1:21 pmQuick observation. I’ve heard cases are spiking in Boone. Temperatures in Boone are generally 8-15 degrees cooler than most of our neighboring states (essentials putting boone a month ahead of other areas). I assume covid cases spike there before other areas. Potential indication of further spikes in November/December down the mountain.

I don't have problems with protocols, but as long as they are in place this is going to occur over and over. So I'm not in the something is better than nothing camp.

We don't know who in our football program tested positive. Prayers extended to our players, coaches and support staff. This is nothing to treat in a nonchalant manner. Nine coaches affected = major concern about co-morbidities. We have several coaches whose age + Covid-19 could become concerning. In fact, it can become concerning to every age group.
Godspeed to all.

Re: ULLLLLLLL Postponed
It's quite possible if ULLLLLLLL continues to win that they could be hosting the championship. Some of us may have forgotten but the Sun Belt Championship is not required to be played at Kidd Brewer, although it has felt that way.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 12:47 pmWe would have to earn a chance at the title game. Assuming we do win out and the season is not cancelled I wonder if ULL would just stay in Boone instead of traveling back if that happens. It will be interesting to see once we get to that point and need to know. Right now I just hope we actually play Georgia Southern.

Was there not a second wave in the South? Maybe not in Washington state but certainly in our neck of the woods. BTW I am headed your way tomorrow so keep it safe for me.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 2:18 pmIs there any data to support that claim? Re: ULLLLLLLL Postponed
I was at AMB last Saturday and it was as packed as it usually is on a beautiful Saturday. People wearing masks when walking around mostly but no real social distancing. I got me beer and went off away from everyone and then left. Same at Grandfather Vinyard, maybe worse in fact so people are getting a little bit relaxed and that will contribute to increased numbers.

Not trying to be rude, but I don’t think I made a claim to warrant data..... just an observation. That said, it will be interesting to watch as cooler climates transitionSeattleapp wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 2:18 pmIs there any data to support that claim? If we play the remaining games and win out then we would be at home. Just like if they win out and beat us they would be the home team. As long as we win out in SBC play then we should host.CheckYosef94 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 3:21 pmIt's quite possible if ULLLLLLLL continues to win that they could be hosting the championship. Re: ULLLLLLLL Postponed
An email this evening from the university indicated 11 players and 8 coaches on the football team tested positive. It did not note whether this includes the 3 players from last week. The message also shared info about 7 new active clusters on campus including 5 members of the volleyball team.

Re: ULLLLLLLL Postponed
The CDC through Dr Fauci, said that if we, as a country didn’t get our daily case totals from 40-50k to the 10k level before the late fall, that there would be a very good chance of a second and third wave. The rationale is in spring and summer people can stay outdoors longer and in the late fall and winter, in much of the country that is not possible. The closer that people are , particularly inside, the virus has a much greater opportunity to spread.

If this is the case, can we hire Belichick for a week. His spy capabilities are unmatched. Each day their team practices, we can just tell them we are working on TV production shots for championship game.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 12:47 pmWe would have to earn a chance at the title game. Not sure we beat UL until we get some things straightened out, so probably better we play them later in the season anyways. Hope we can play the Stink game, though. I think that game could give us the boost we need.

Re: ULLLLLLLL Postponed
Since we aren’t having fans anyway can we play the stink in Sofield if it is rainy and windy? And yes I know it isn’t full field.
