Where can Apps watch the game in Myrtle Beach
Thinking of heading to Myrtle Beach. Not paying scalpers. But wondering if there’s a great place—-preferably with good social distance open air seating—to watch the game? Any suggestions? Go Apps!!!

There are good places but socially distant isn’t something South Carolina is concerned with. We’ll be in Little River this weekend and would love to join up but will probably watch from home. I’m all ears though if someone does know of an outdoor option. Supposed to be perfect weather.

Wild Wing Cafe in NMB at Barefoot Landing has a large deck. One of the owners is a former Marshall baseball player. We talk about App State and Marshall games regularly. It would be a good outside spot. Patio's in LR has great outdoor eating/drinking/music...I'd check about the TV situation before I went there.

I think lots of APP fans will be in the Grand Strand this weekend without tickets. Would be nice if Yosef Club or Alumni Association could find us a safe place to gather and watch the game.

Next time I'm down that way, I'd like to visit the area of the ol Air Force Base. I was stationed there during the mid 70s. Good memories:

I've lived here for over 30 years. I haven't looked very hard, but I'm not aware of any local Mountaineers that get together in a public setting, but I'll keep my ears open.

What MB has done with the old air base is impressive. It's now Market Common with homes going up left and right and very cool eating and shopping. My son flies into the private airport on occasion and they have quite a few memorabilia on the walls telling of the history of the squadrons that were there. Go by the private airport...very easy to find and anyone can walk in and have a look around, just not on the tarmac. I'm sure some of MC restaurants will have the game on.WataugaMan wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 8:26 amNext time I'm down that way, I'd like to visit the area of the ol Air Force Base. I was in the Supply Squadron, senior airman back in the day (a few years before attending App). The old barracks (barracks row they used to call it) is under a lake now. Back in the day, going down barracks row - the chow hall was in the center, there was a post office, dry cleaners, barber shop, and movie theater. Best of all, the liquor store was at the end.

I live in the Myrtle Beach area. I'm running errands all day, wearing my football game attire (Don't worry I'll wash them again. before Saturday) It is my not so subtle attempt to remind the Beach Cocks that we are STILL the Sun Belt's Daddy. Time to wear the pants App. 1-0 this week.

77, where would you suggest we go to watch the game? We're staying in Garden City.appstate77 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 10:17 amI live in the Myrtle Beach area. Walk Ons on 501S. It is near the CCU campus. Should be more than one screen carrying the game.

Any gatherings Friday night?
And for Saturday Anyone know if Wild Wing Cafe has open air seating? Looks like they do on their website. Not wanting to drive from MB to Conway.
