Re: national tv chokers
After a lot of digestion and indigestion over the 2 losses and sub par offensive performance in some games I have realized we are still lucky to be App State fans. History and expectations drive us to insanity sometimes over tough losses. In hind site we are no different than Alabama last year, Georgia every year, Ohio State losing games in past years they should not have and got embarrassed and left out of playoffs. Ours may not be to the same level as a P-5 but stings just as much for a rabid fan base. 0-12 or 12-0 I will still bleed black and gold, always have and always will. Hell my birthday cake when I was 8 was a Yosef head and that was 50 of them ago. GIVE'EM HELL!

The last time App won a game against a top 25 team is Michigan in 2007, the beat goes on.

Yes kind of a reality check as to how good we are and how good we really have been. With that said though we don't really get that many opportunities. As far as this year goes would the two teams we played have been ranked if all teams had been playing from day one with no cancelled games along the way?WataugaMan wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 12:53 amThe last time App won a game against a top 25 team is Michigan in 2007, the beat goes on.

An undefeated Coastal would likely be ranked at this point.bcoach wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 8:11 amYes kind of a reality check as to how good we are and how good we really have been. That very well could and probably will be, but I just don't see their ranking at this point. I truly think they are an ESPN hype in an upsidedown year. Other than Louisana who has not really had a very tough schedule at all, who have they beat? They have beaten three teams with winning records. BYU may change my mind but up till now I see a ranking enspired by ESPN.hapapp wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 9:08 amAn undefeated Coastal would likely be ranked at this point.bcoach wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 8:11 amYes kind of a reality check as to how good we are and how good we really have been. Re: national tv chokers
Coastal imo opinion will lose today but deserves to be ranked. Louisiana has a win against a team currently ranked top 10 Iowa st. I think? Marshall is worthy of their ranking imo as well. All that being said we are still 1-18 vs. top 25 teams all-time and 0-3 this year. A win in Statesboro will go along way in helping forget all 3 losses that were winnable games, albeit against good teams Go APPS !!!

I'm watching it a bit and Marshall has made quite a few mistakes. This us absolutely a situation where they lost this more than rice won it. Its just a bad game all around.

We played three decent teams , and lost to them all. Does anyone we beat have a winning record?

Louisiana AT Appalachian St. - ESPN - 1.01M - Fri
Our second 1m+ viewers game this season. Unfortunate we lost both but incredible exposure. Did our bowl game even do 1m last year??
