We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: QB 2021
I'd buy that if it was just beginning of the year struggles, but it wasn't. He played in every game and there was no noticeable growth from him. There were other transfer QBs this year that played well at new schools under the same circumstances(King, Ramsey, Daniels,Jurkovec). Listen if he does decide to come to App, I will support him and cheer for and pray that his season at Duke is an outlier.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 9:58 amHard to develop timing and on field chemistry on a ZOOM call.Appstate88 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 9:57 amIf CB does come. Clemson would not have won a national championship in 2018 without Chase Brice stepping in for Trevor Lawrence. Syracuse he got knocked out Brice steps in and lead them to victory. He very high on most clemson fans list. This is exciting.

Re: QB 2021
Fair point. But I will say this. If you are willing to make a judgment on this past season, I would say go and look at what he did in limited time at Clemson. Yes, I get it. The receivers at Clemson can make anyone look good. I would say look at where he put the ball on the receiver. He has good zip and accuracy and put the ball in spots for his guys to make plays.NavyApp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 10:12 amI'd buy that if it was just beginning of the year struggles, but it wasn't. He also went back to Clemson this week to walk with his former teammates at their behest. Re: QB 2021
I hope that my gut feeling is BEYOND WRONG. It's just hard for me to look at what he did this past year and be excited. Hopefully it was just a bad fit and moving up the mountain sets him right. Again I don't know. Hopefully if he does come I get to eat crow by the plateful!AppSt94 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 10:25 amFair point. But I will say this. Re: QB 2021
You guys must realize that Trevor Lawrence wouldn't have made Duke significantly better this season - they had no defense, were always playing from behind and lost key guys almost every week including the opt-outs - Keep it real

I think we should also go after this WR to replace Malik as a Slot receiver. https://247sports.com/Player/John-Dunmore-94688/

Re: QB 2021
I think we are pretty stacked at WR moving forward. Assuming Sutton and Pickney take the outside roles we would have Wells/Horn in the slot which I believe they would both thrive there. Also the talent coming in with this class looks like the real deal, heck Brown could walk in day 1 and be the slot guy. Will be see who shows up as early enrollees. Also personally I am super excited for Lowman, dude just glides, once he focuses on WR I think he will be a star!Appstate88 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 10:42 amI think we should also go after this WR to replace Malik as a Slot receiver. https://247sports.com/Player/John-Dunmore-94688/

Have Malik and/or Hennigan made any announcements?

I don't know anything about Chase Brice but I trust our coaches to make the smartest decisions for the program. I would assume they'd take the best QB available that fits our system and culture, and is willing to come to Boone and wear the black & gold.

The two favorite teams for my youngest boy are Clemson and App in that order. He is all excited about this Brice Chase possibility!

Re: QB 2021
Whoever the QB is next year, I hope he’s ready to work.
DC the anointed one, Shuler the gunslinger or Brice the ACC journeyman.
Nothing is guaranteed on the mountain and these men are about to find that out.
Whomever rises to the top, we will be better for it. I’m confident the coaching staff will make sure it’s based on merit alone and not pride or past achievements.

Agree with you NavyApp. The transfer portal is like a kid in a candy store right now. How about a TE then. There are some big framed blocking TEs in the portal with several years of eligibility.NavyApp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 10:48 amI think we are pretty stacked at WR moving forward. Re: QB 2021
My guess would be Brice on day 1, then Tabscott eventually either takes over for him when he's done or beats him out. But if we're ranking the contenders, I'd put Goodman before Shuler.ah59396 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 11:13 amWhoever the QB is next year, I hope he’s ready to work.

Re: QB 2021
I'm with you on the "kid in a candy store" reference. I just pulled up the TE portal and there are a lot of interesting names, to include one who has been a thorn in our side (Pederson). Interesting is it looks like every TE at UT is in the portal which made me chuckle.Appstate88 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 11:16 amAgree with you NavyApp. The transfer portal is like a kid in a candy store right now. I would prefer we focus on DL. Cannot have too many toilet plungers clogging up the opposing team run game.Appstate88 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 11:16 amAgree with you NavyApp. The transfer portal is like a kid in a candy store right now.
