Pure talent? Brown
Better player for the team? DBG
Pure talent? Brown
Not going to happen. DBG is good, but has some things to get through. Him getting closer to home in California (or somewhere else with family) should help alleviate those.
I think he was being sarcasticAppStateNews wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 12:46 amNot going to happen. DBG is good, but has some things to get through. Him getting closer to home in California (or somewhere else with family) should help alleviate those.
His talent isn't the issue.
He is definitely in the portal. I always thought that if he did not pan out at QB that he could be a tight end. I wonder if that is something TCU wanted him to do and that is why he left or his issues that got him booted from App are still getting him in trouble.
You are correct, I was being partially sarcastic.BeauFoster wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 7:18 amI think he was being sarcasticAppStateNews wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 12:46 amNot going to happen. That could happen.
There's an ESPN+ article out today (if you have the ESPN+ subscription, you can view it) that goes over returning production.Tbatchelor1977 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 6:53 pmJust curious if anyone knows how App St super seniors coming back compares to other P5 and G5. We had many players cone back that made significant contributions ( Sutton 2019). Are other teams getting as many starters or significant contributors as we are?
Didn't UL lose both of their stud RB's Ragus and Mitchell?? That would appear a huge loss of production.T-Dog wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 2:02 pmThere's an ESPN+ article out today (if you have the ESPN+ subscription, you can view it) that goes over returning production.Tbatchelor1977 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 6:53 pmJust curious if anyone knows how App St super seniors coming back compares to other P5 and G5. https://www.espn.com/college-football/i ... ction-2021
App - 40th (8th in defense)
Louisiana - 1st (including almost all their defense)
Miami - 3rd (almost all their offense)
Coastal - 21st
Georgia State - 23rd
Texas State -35th (same percentage as App)
ECU - 48th
Georgia Southern - 119th
Marshall - 112th
Statistically at App, it appears that they are dead even!
In the article he gives the weights for his formula, returning RB production is like 5% bc of how interchangeable the position can be - App is great evidence of that. Their 3rd guy was pretty decent, over 6 YPC. Louisiana is gonna be a tough out in 2021.SpeedkingATL wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 3:29 pmDidn't UL lose both of their stud RB's Ragus and Mitchell?? I'll defer to you since you've apparently seen them both at practice.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 1:50 pmThat could happen.
My personal sense, though, is that Brown was the one who had/has big-time talent and just has lacked the maturity or whatever. Whereas DBG just isn't very good.
I have not. Just going off the reviews from those who have.hapapp wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 6:18 amI'll defer to you since you've apparently seen them both at practice.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 1:50 pmThat could happen.
