Re: Transfer Portal
Will be interesting where he fits in, didn't see much PT at ND it seems. May be a good between runner of Peoples and the smaller backs.

Re: Transfer Portal
It sounds like he is expected to be here 2 years but could take the COVID year and have 3 if he wants.appstate77 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 4:40 pmHow many years eligibility does the player from ND have?

@AppStateNation
App P5 transfers so far this offseason have come from Duke, Stanford, and Notre Dame. Must be pretty smart dudes.
But we already knew that since they picked to come to App State...

Re: Transfer Portal
As stated when the Stanford guy transferred in.. and maybe more for these other, especially the "Tar.. I do not have to go to class.. Heel,.. They will have to step up their study habits.. The new math to learn" knot plus knot minus knot". App St is often referred to" Harvard of the South" for good reason. I hope they last one semester before being put on academic probation for poor grades,

Re: Transfer Portal
Wont have to worry about academics with this UNC grad. Finished top of his class at Reidsville and graduated early from Crapel Hill. Super fast but lacking in height. Think he will help help out tremendously in the return department.Tbatchelor1977 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 6:32 pmAs stated when the Stanford guy transferred in.. and maybe more for these other, especially the "Tar.. Re: Transfer Portal
He had a boatload of offers when he entered the portal. Sounds like a plug and play guard or tackle.

Re: Transfer Portal
You never know but with all the offers and looking at his highlights, especially against UNC, he looks like a fantastic pick-up. And, doesn't he have a number of years left; did I see he was class of 2019 out of high school? If so, he could be a real beast in a few years.

Re: Transfer Portal
I believe the plan was for Baer Hunter to move to center. Does this pick-up open the option of Baer moving back to guard, and this guy taking over at center?

Re: Transfer Portal
He has three years remaining. And the Baylor offer was legit. They tried hard to get him.
As far as position, Baer has been moved to center for this season to help his chances for the NFL. Helms will work from guard this year but can be an option for next year along with Luke Smith.

Re: Transfer Portal
I looked at his film and curious if you know why we did not offer coming out of HS? He had a dominant spring for WCU. He was 1st-team All-SoCon as a sophomore, which is hard to do.firemoose wrote: ↑Tue May 11, 2021 3:18 pmHe has three years remaining. And the Baylor offer was legit. They tried hard to get him.

This HS film is not bad either:
Does it appear our starting OL will now look like this?
LT Anderson Hardy
LG Damion Daley
C Baer Hunter
RG Isaiah Helms
RT Cooper Hodges
Would this possibly send anyone like a Seth Williams, Hiers, McFarland, etc type player into the portal or does it appear we will still keep everyone?
