Miami Game
Anybody going to the Miami game? My wife and I have already purchased our plane tix and game tix, but we're still trying to decide where to stay. Any suggestions from people who know the area would be appreciated! FYI...we're trying to avoid South Beach!

Re: Miami Game
It depends on what you want to do. The stadium is a good ways from Miami. There are plenty of hotel options to suit your needs. If you can let me know what you are thinking of exploring, I can try and help you out. Traffic sucks, but isn’t all traffic in metro areas?AppStMike201 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 9:59 amAnybody going to the Miami game? We are going and staying at the Seminole Hard Rock with a group of 10-12. Kinda enjoy the pairing of NFL stadiums and playing blackjack after a couple years of going to New Orleans. Ha

Re: Miami Game
I traveled to Miami a few times in my last job and always stayed in South Beach, but that's not on the docket for this trip. The stadium is 30-45 minutes from there, as well. We looked at the Seminole Hard Rock hotel but damn that's a hard pill to swallow for 3 nights at $389.00/night! I think we've settled for the DoubleTree Hollywood Beach right on the ICC. Can't wait to get down there!AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 10:49 amSouth Beach is awesome.brianowen wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 10:47 amAppstate88 and I are “taking our talents to South Beach”.AppStMike201 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 9:59 amAnybody going to the Miami game? Booked my flights after reading this thread.$169 round trip. Leaving Thursday night coming back on Sunday morning. With the gam Sat night, thinking of heading to Key West Friday to spend the night down there.AppStMike201 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 1:38 pmI traveled to Miami a few times in my last job and always stayed in South Beach, but that's not on the docket for this trip. Re: Miami Game
I'm planning to be there but not sure where I'm staying yet. My traveling buddy is from Boca and grew up a huge Canes fan (and still is when they aren't playing App), so I told him I'm trusting him to handle lodging. Thinking we'll catch a Marlins game Wednesday or Thursday as well.
Honestly my bigger question at this point is dining and nightlife options that are outdoors. Up until a couple weeks ago I thought I'd be game for whatever in terms of bars or attractions, but that's no longer the case.

I'd say have a backup plan, but pay attention to the #s as we get closer to the game.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 2:40 pmI'm planning to be there but not sure where I'm staying yet. If Fl delta surge is similar to India and UK, the #s could be pretty low by the time we get to the game.

Yes. They are available thru App. St. Season ticket holders and Yosef Club members can purchase until Aug 24th. Then they go on sale to the public.Appmountaineers19 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 3:21 pmCan we get tickets thru AppST ? Or do we need to go thru Miami? Re: Miami Game
We are flying American direct out of Charlotte Friday night and Returning Sunday morning. $210 per ticket.
36 hours in Miami.
We are staying in a 2 Bedroom Condo at Marriott's Villas at Doral. Worked great for our group of 4. 2 Bedrooms with a Queen or King and two pull out couches. $220 a night including taxes and fees.
Plan is to chill at the Pool in the morning, then drive over to the stadium in the afternoon to tailgate. 25 minute drive to the stadium.
