My wife and I were very much looking forward to this trip. Made a lot of friends in grad school at Miami, but a newborn isn’t good for traveling.

Hotels, rental cars and airlines have been extremely flexible since COVID started. Traveled last year during COVID including air travel plus went to road games at Marshall and Coastal. Wear a mask, if required, social distance, keep rolling with life.

Be awesome to beat The U!!
By Brandon Marcello...whoever he is ,😂

Coastal Division
1. MIAMI
Miami is poised to be a contender this season because of its offense, but the defense could hold the Hurricanes back from being a threat against Clemson in the ACC Championship.

Quarterback D'Eriq King has made waves on the NIL market in the offseason, but the biggest news is his seemingly quick recovery from ACL surgery. He appears ready to return to form, and as one of the oldest and most mature quarterbacks in the conference, the expectation is Miami challenges Clemson and North Carolina to lay claim as the best offense.

The gigantic issue is on defense, where pass rushers Jaelan Phillips and Quincy Roche are gone, and the secondary makes you wonder if the 'Canes will be able to slow the pass-heavy Tar Heels when they meet. The secondary will have a heavier workload without an elite pass rush to help, but adding Georgia transfer Tyrique Stevenson should help.

The addition of Oklahoma transfer Charleston Rambo should buoy an already-dangerous passing offense, but he needs to be more consistent after an up-and-down 2020 with the Sooners.

However Miami's long list of transfers perform, so goes the season.

Concerns aside, this is the year for the Hurricanes to win the division.

Meeting friends from San Antonio and heading to Miami. Cuban restaurant choices? Too hot to go with black polo. White or gold? Kakis or shorts in the Miami sun?

it's a night game so that should definitely help with the heat. But gold on the road. As much as I prefer black the gold stands out. Can't wait for this one, I think it's going to be one of the better road trips. We will likely do the keys, maybe a dive day or bonefishing. Then cap it off with an App State Victory!

Anybody going to the Miami game? My wife and I have already purchased our plane tix and game tix, but we're still trying to decide where to stay. Any suggestions from people who know the area would be appreciated! FYI...we're trying to avoid South Beach!
Appstate88 and I are “taking our talents to South Beach”.
South Beach is awesome.
Don't go to South Beach if you are offended by bare breasts. :D

I got it. When I hear South Beach, I think of The Birdcage. The scene of the dude roller skating by Gene Hackman. The look that Hackman has on his face is priceless.

Keep in mind that the stands are covered now at Hard Rock. If we get good breeze, it may not be too bad in the stands, depending on where you sit.

Judging from that Dan Marino jersey in the photo, the stands have been covered for a while ;)

So App State and Boone can kiss my ass with vaccine mandates. My rights my DNA my body my choice get that straight! You can do as you wish. I respect your choices. Poison in your body? What about the polio vaccine, whooping cough, tetanus, diphtheria, small pox.flu, shingles, pneumonia vaccines, etc? As to rights...did you consider contracting COVID-19 and spreading it to your family, friends, coworkers, et.al? With freedom goes responsibility, IMOp.

The Spanish flu was not a man made virus. Right now 97% or more of COVID-19 patients in hospitals have not had the COVID vaccine.

Do you really envy people going to the game or are you just trying to stir up Covid arguments on the board again? Because the tone of your message seems way more focused on Covid than the Miami game

* Yes I am envious but not jealous.
* There were many threads on this forum about COVID-19, the shots, the masks, etc. Did you not read them or are yous just trying to pester or single me out?
* I didn't start any of the COVID arguments as far as I can I recall.
