Montana Football Game
-Montana’s AD said over the weekend that his hope is that the App State/Montana season opener will be a night game and mentioned the time of 7 pm MST, which would be 9 pm EST. The other time that is being discussed is 4 pm MST/6 pm EST, which would be the same as the 2012 game in Boone. I wouldn’t expect this game to be on any ESPN platform though.
Night game is cool, but I'd rather not be finishing it on Sunday morning EST, because of the zone differences. Slight disadvantage for APP, imo.

Re: Montana Football Game
That stinks.
I hope they move it up, if just an hour. I have to get up at 5 AM on Sundays, so I'd like to be in bed by 12 if possible...

Re: Montana Football Game
Many Griz fans are really hoping for a 7pm kickoff. Even though it won't truly be a night game with it being so early in the season, we have never had a regular-season game under the lights. Plus, with it being so hot in Missoula during late summer/early fall, an evening game would be fantastic.
And it's frick'n App State we're playing! Yet another reason why we want it under the lights!

Re: Montana Football Game
Since I'm going out there for the game, I'd LOVE to see a 7PM kickoff! A game under the lights at WaGriz would be incredible, as would a full day of tailgating. It is a little late for those watching from home on the East coast though.
Booked my place in Missoula last week, gonna be a long 4 months.

We always schedule them too early, so they're 'night' games by the end of the third quarterGlassOnion wrote:I dont recall any of App's night games kicking off in full darkness.

Some of my experience of the ppv feeds from espn can roll back to the years to rabbit ears or outside aerial reception, which really sucks for the cash shelled out.

As of right now, UM is working on finalizing a television contract for the game, and I would think we should hear something by the end of the month. Chances are that Montana Max Media will probably pick up the game, which would be great! That means the game will be available for FREE on BigSkyTV.org. I just moved to Houston a month ago, and also NEED to watch this game! If I hear anything, I'll keep ya'll posted!ASUMountaineer wrote:Do you know when we might hear of TV pick ups? Anyone find a flight under 500 anywhere near Montana? Want to attend this game but for a family of three that is 1500 before hotel food drinks tickets rental car.
Appalachian State, Better than your school since 1899!!!!

Re: Montana Football Game
Both. The TV broadcast will be available to local Montana viewers, but the TV feed will also be broadcasted on the Internet via BigSkyTV.org for anyone to watch.TheMoody1 wrote:MTGrizFan wrote:As of right now, UM is working on finalizing a television contract for the game
