Game Announcers
Got home from game about 12:30. Pulled up recording on the game to catch some highlights. The announcers said” we can’t tell who has the larger crowd” REALLY?
And .. AND “both fan bases are about 2 hours from Charlotte…..” my suggestion to them OPEN your eyes and do some homework……

Re: Game Announcers
Those guys were clearly the C team. Either way, I was happy to be on national TV.

Re: Game Announcers
We outnumbered their fans 2 1/2 to 1. ECU is 4 hours from Charlotte? Maybe not quite that far.

Re: Game Announcers
They weren’t on site. My GF had a friend working for ESPN at the game. She said the announcers were remote.

Re: Game Announcers
At one point the annoucer said "These teams are use to playing in front of no fans" ESPN is a dumpster fire

When I heard him say it, I thought at first he was being an ass. Then I re-thought about it and believe you are correct.

Re: Game Announcers
I think it was pretty obvious what they meant given the context. Sometimes I think our fans expect the announcers to say nothing but positive things about our play. All in all, I think they did a decent job considering that our game was a secondary attraction to what was on at the same time.

Re: Game Announcers
1. Clearly biased towards ECU
2. They wouldn't shut up about how the hail marry at the half was a TD.
3. Bashed Harrington for getting a targeting call where the ECU player dropped his head.
4. Pushed hard for another App player to get a targeting call.
and my favorite...
5. They began talking about Mackinzie Milton (former UCF QB who had a terrible leg/knee injury and has now transferred to FSU) and how he and Scott Frost will likely be "...reminiscing about their days at UCF together..." insinuating that both are worse off now. Low class and tactless.
Honestly they were trash.

Agreed on all points. That was a poor, poor effort. ESPN should be ashamed of the obvious bias and lack or preparation.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 1:55 pm1. Clearly biased towards ECU

Re: Game Announcers
Pathetic discussion about the interception at halftime. It doesn't matter what happens at the bottom of the pile, it's so catches the ball. It wasn't a fumble. Idiots

Re: Game Announcers
ESPN ashamed of lack of preparation? Didn't they just air a High School football game between the powerhouse IMG and a school that doesn't exist/doesn't have any potential recruits? Something that would have taken all of 2 minutes to figure out if anyone cares to try. ESPN could care less about their lack of on air talent, they believe they are beyond reproach (they are because there are no other options).TractorApp wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 2:19 pmAgreed on all points. Re: Game Announcers
The best part is they showed the angle that clearly has Huff with 2 hands on the ball and the ECU player trying to tear it away with Huffs knee on the ground aka an interception. They never showed that angle again. And for them to keep harping on it like it would have changed anything (other than the fact we would have scored more than 33 before icing the game) is ridiculous. It was very clear one team was head and shoulders above the other.

Re: Game Announcers
I remember that one guy last year who wouldn't shut up about Charlotte having gold-on-white jerseys and how they were illegal. He sounded like Tim Gunn seeing someone wearing white after Labor Day. (He's also apparently never watched a Georgia Tech road game either)

If memory serves me correct, one of the announcers thought he was in Boone vice Charlotte.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 1:55 pm1. Clearly biased towards ECU
