Thanks for setting me straight. Had no idea.appdaze wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 4:08 pmIts a sports forum where we discuss actions of our players on the field. So there is no problem with it being posted here. We all know players talk trash. Thank you. Their voices are rarely heard on the field. Their actions are captured forever in recorded media.

Re: No helping hand to a pirate
Personally find this very funny. Its competitive banter and well within the rules of the game of football. Its also no where close to a penalty. Lets remeber they ar 18-22 year old KIDS, playing a game and having fun. Happy he didnt help the big QB up. Let the big fella pick himself up if his Oline isn't there to help.

I’m just glad we have such a moral gatekeeper here on the MMB to keep us all straight. Here I am being obviously wrong by not rushing to snap judgments. My soul has been saved.

I’m not going to read this thread because it’s dumb, but I hope someone who watched the broadcast has pointed out that he stood there several seconds with his hand extended and as he gave up and turned to leave the QB noticed and put his hand out, it was just one of those leave me hanging kind of moments. Nothing meant on either side but of course we can use social media to stir up some shit.

Even if it was intentional, who cares? Do you know what these guys say to each other during a game? Or what they do at the bottom of a pile for a loose ball?appbio91 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 4:58 pmI’m not going to read this thread because it’s dumb, but I hope someone who watched the broadcast has pointed out that he stood there several seconds with his hand extended and as he gave up and turned to leave the QB noticed and put his hand out, it was just one of those leave me hanging kind of moments. I love how people rationalize things when its people on "their side" committing the actions in question. The number of times other players have done something dirty, said something a bit sideways, or taunted App in any way and this board has gone nuts is fascinating. Sports fandom hypocrisy at its best.

Wow are you still chastising a player/situation that you know only a snippet of info. Harrington is a great kid and a fierce competitor. It's football Nancy!!! Champ I already mentioned that one action doesn't mean someone is a bad person by any means. I see we are now getting to the part of the thread where people only see a snippet of info and start making comments without reading the thread. I'm sure he is a great kid that did something dumb in the moment. Calm down Nancy!! Just like you have done with judging the player’s action based on a 1-2 second video clip.appdaze wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 6:47 pmChamp I already mentioned that one action doesn't mean someone is a bad person by any means. Re: No helping hand to a pirate
I saw it live but didn't have a phone out recording my tv to catch it. I'll pretend I didn't to humor you. You could clearly tell from that clip he did that intentionally. The other player could have dropped every name in the book at him like you guys have said but all the world saw was him pull back in a way that made it clear it was on purpose. Now thanks to social media something that would have been here and gone will never be gone.BeauFoster wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 6:54 pmJust like you have done with judging the player’s action based on a 1-2 second video clip.appdaze wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 6:47 pmChamp I already mentioned that one action doesn't mean someone is a bad person by any means. Alright, what's the next attempt to rationalize it? I'm also going to link this thread when later in the season someone does something to us that y'all lose your crap over.

Exactly.appdaze wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 2:46 pmNaahhhhh, watch that pull away and you can easily tell that was intentional. We laugh at the little things until they turn in to big things and then blame people for not doing something about it when they were little things.BeauFoster wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 2:41 pmI laughed a little at it.
We don’t even know if it was intentional or not. The coaches could have been yelling at him to get off the field and he couldn’t stick around to help him up.

If watch the whole scene the ref yelled at him to go to his huddle. And how about we talk about number 5 from ECU throwing punches at our guys face while he was trying to tackle them.

Can you post your video for us?
Whataboutisms don't really justify anything. We could talk about #5 though.
