Re: Coastal Rejection?
We need to get those kids who welcomed Marshall players after the game to give a similar welcome to Coastal’s tailgate party.

Re: Coastal Rejection?
As was stated above, I will feed and provide beverages, adult or otherwise, for any well-behaved fan of the opponent. But I still find some humor in this story.
AND, somewhat related, it should be a reminder to businesses in Boone to put App first. The primary screens at any restaurant/bar should be showing App games whenever they are on. If not, App Nation should vote with their feet.

That’s exactly what happened. It is funny. And I’m now making a point to spend my money at Ransom Pub ASAP.

I learned a long time ago that you can't believe everything you hear. And in today's world, I hope what was originally described never happened or happens.

Re: Coastal Rejection?
There were a small few that really jumped on ransom on twitter then they came back saying no it wasn’t Ransom. It was pretty pathetic. Should welcome lots of fans not deter.

Hope Boone businesses stay as a House United. Maybe they can arrange Applebee’s in Hickory.

Re: Coastal Rejection?
If the business decides to cancel their reservation then that's their choice. It doesn't seem that full service was denied.

I'm fine with what the restaurant did. They are a private business so this is their right. Again, they did not deny service, only cancelled the apparent agreement to host some pre game event. Those sea chickens are still welcome as individual or group guests. This is just some petty mess getting blow out of proportion.
Judging by that thread some of them think this game is already won. They see the Sunbelt as to small for them seem to want to move up after a couple years of relevance. That is going to be a sad fanbase when their little wave finally crashes.
Edit:. Just realized they are calling us rivals..... I really don't think we have enough history yet to call this a rivalry.

Re: Coastal Rejection?
If it is a rivalry, it’s similar to the one we once had with Western…incredibly one sided. That’s what happens when you’ve only had success 10% of the time.appdaze wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 7:49 pmIf the business decides to cancel their reservation then that's their choice. All to often in today’s world we forget to live by the Golden Rule or maybe some just don’t know it. I know I have been guilty of that at times. Hopefully we can all be better to each other. That being said, let’s Give ‘em Hell on October 20th!

Re: Coastal Rejection?
A few coastal fans called Ransom to secure a spot without saying they were Coastal fans. Ransom agreed to the reservation. Those few coastal fans turned in to an "official alumni event" without Ransom agreeing to it.
Coastal alumni group started promoting it as such. Ransom then said on socal media "they are welcome to still eat, drink, and gather here but we have not agreed to host an official alumni event."
So, coastal fans can still go. It just cannot be promoted as an official event.

Coastal fans: come on up to Boone! We’ll treat you like long lost friends. Eat with us, drink with us, and spend all your money here. Sure we have our football teams to cheer for. Bring everybody you can. This is not Statesboro.

I think that's pretty common in the industry.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 12:52 pmA few coastal fans called Ransom to secure a spot without saying they were Coastal fans. Re: Coastal Rejection?
Expect Yosef to be beheaded if we lose in the locker room. It seems they have raised celebrating to a new level.
We do need to respect other teams and fans however. There's nothing better than another school saying "their fans are the best, they treated us good when we went there".

Re: Coastal Rejection?
I don’t know the circumstances surrounding this gathering, but I can say for an absolute fact that the last time CCU came to town, there was a CCU alumni gathering there. They took up the front room/area, got there early and hung banners and what not and even tried to give me a CCU bracelet. Right or wrong, it definitely happened.
