Elaborate if you can. Are they both a bunch of slack-jawed yokels?
Can't speak for Luvyosef, but I will say that, more than any other team in the SB, ULL seems to be pretty full of themselves. They have a pretty high opinion of where they are in the pecking order. Combine that with the fact that GaSo doesn't do humility very well and there is definitely the potential for conflict. I would hope that any conflicts are going to be of the message board variety and not the real thing. GaSo has a couple of fans who are making it hard for the whole group over on the Sun Belt board.
Yes indeed. Not to mention it's statesboro drunken white trash vs louisiana's drunken cajuns. Over under on how long into the 1st quarter punches will be thrown?

This thread got my attention and made me curious as to where you guys thought we might fall in line.

I love playing you. I'm older, an '82 grad, and have seen us play many, many times over the years, and do not remember a lopsided game ever. Though, you have gotten the better of us on more occasions than I care to speak of.

I have all the respect in the world for your football program and school. I've lived in Charlotte for 25 years, but a VA native and hope to return there someday. If some of you could simply put down a number instead of redoing your earlier post, it would be nice to get a feel of your desire, or lack there of, to have us join the SB should we be invited.

Thanks for your input.
I think JMU moves immediately to the top of the conference rivals list if they join the Sun Belt. We have a history of incredible games and the schools are so similar they could be twins.

Once the new realignment starts when the BCS schools leave the NCAA, how about a conference with App, JMU, ECU, Marshall, Old Dominion, GSU, Ga State, Middle Tenn & Arkansas State?

That would be great, but ECU, Marshall, MTSU fans and supporters would probably not be for the idea. Too many chances of them losing games. ECU probably has a big head over being in the AAC now and rejoining a lot of former conference members that left them. Marshall thinks they will dominate CUSA, so they would not like to now. MTSU pretty much same as Marshall.
When that does happen though, maybe things would change by then. Would be great for our fans and local rivalries.

Would put James Madison right at the top if they joined the SBC.

Georgia Southern - old rivals are the best rivals, love to hate them
Troy - traditionally top SBC team, bragging rights
Louisiana - would like to turn their noses down from the up position
Arkansas State - really good football program right now
Texas State - great stadium, was like KBS before they improved it
Georgia State - important win for recruiting in Atlanta area
USA - new program, so important win
New Mexico State - been major college program a long time
Idaho - long way away, with small indoor stadium, a must win
ULM - dangerous program, has tendency to beat some really good teams

Wouldn't mind seeing JMU in the Sunbelt.... (As long as they ban the streamers! )

But my main reason to want JMU is geographic... It'd be one of the TWO games that I could afford to take a day trip to see my Apps play...
One game does not a postseason make.

Honestly outside of the Eagles, none of these schools stand out in any way to me. It will be nice to see different teams out there, but it's going to take a few years before any of them separate themselves from a general sense.

Plus it's not like any of these teams are travel options for me so destinations are irrelevant for me. :(
