Re: In Game Thread
Why does Shawn Clark play scared ball inside 2 minutes. That’s the third time I’ve watched us shell up and once again it costs us.

Re: In Game Thread
That was a terrible last drive. We have hit them hard with deep balls then we go soft and get cute. The d is holding up
More and more. Get pressure of McCall and he get rattled.

Re: In Game Thread
w/o a risky play we would be getting hammered. Why number 12 is on the same side of the field as their 4 is beyond me, they are just dumb for not attacking that mismatch every efing play

Re: In Game Thread
We can beat these guys but we have to stop with the penalties and turnovers. The situational plays at the end of the half we're just bad.
Defense has to step it up and take over the line of scrimmage. Got to play smarter.
Malik was an exploited mismatch. If they adjust for him someone else should be clear.
Somebody has to get a hit on McCall. Not dirty but solid.

Re: In Game Thread
I was pretty pleased with our play in the middle of the second quarter. I didn’t mind going for it late on 4th down, but the play call was terrible.
The play calling and clock maintenance on the final drive was abysmal. I’ve tried to be open to the coaching staff growth and everything, but there’s just no excuse. Should have been way more aggressive.
I am glad to see at least a couple penalties called on Coastal in the 2nd quarter, but I’m still not convinced that there wasn’t an unspoken mandate.

Re: In Game Thread
Reminds me of our game against them last year. We could have won had we played a cleanly executed game. Hope we don’t see the same tonight.Longrifle28 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 8:18 pmWe can beat these guys but we have to stop with the penalties and turnovers. Re: In Game Thread
Elect to receive to open the game, play conservative to end the half...it's clear coach is afraid of Coastal's offense. Not saying their offense isn't worth respecting, but you have to play to win.

Re: In Game Thread
Unfortunately we are not better than this, we're lucky it isn't a lot worse and CC gets the ball to start the half. We're gonna need some big plays and some big breaks.

I think we can win this game, but I agree. We aren’t better than this. This is literally our MO.
I don’t love that we need gimmick plays to stay in the game versus Coastal Carolina, but here we are. We have got to clean up the penalties.

The D needs a stop out of the gate
I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.

We have the talent but I don't see it being used to the full potential.

Re: In Game Thread
I don’t think that was a gimmick, I think it was good coaching. We recognized that they weren’t even close to covering the play so we exploited it. I’d do it every damn game.ah59396 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 8:28 pmI think we can win this game, but I agree. We aren’t better than this. This is literally our MO.

Re: In Game Thread
You can sense Sutton’s frustration when he’s not getting the ball. I say let him eat in the 2nd half if we’re going to put Peoples on ice.

Chase can drop a dime. He makes big time throws. Even the resident QB experts on this board must admit this is true
