Re: In Game Thread
That “first win over a ranked team” is nice but BS. They had beaten nobody and we were clearly better. Maybe the damn love affair will end. Chase was absolutely money all night. Dropped dimes, made great reads and even hit a few while being hit. We absolutely had to have the running back stable. If those guys played last week completely different deal. Now don’t slip up, run the table and win the chip.

Re: In Game Thread
Was it pretty? No, but who the hell cares. I’ve been trying to choose between Brice, the defensive line, and Malik on who to give the game ball to, but I think there is only one clear answer. THE FANS. A Wednesday night game, sold out, and sounded and looked electric on tv. I can only imagine what it was like being there. Coastal hasn’t faced an environment like that before and it showed. Very proud of the way our team bounced back. Now, let’s take care of next week, and the week after, etc so we can see Louisiana again in December.

I couldn’t make the trip but my freshman son was on Miller Hill. He told me KBS was absolutely rocking.App_in_Maiden wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 10:18 pmWas it pretty? No, but who the hell cares. Perhaps my lack of sleep will sting less coming off a nice victory! Still gotta work though, but adrenaline will carry me through the day, and lots of black coffee!!!

As bad as last week was go over to espn and look at team stats for this game. Not nearly as close as the score indicates. Can't say enough about the crowd. Well worth the $250,000 fine for storming the field. Now hopefully the media will shut up about those darling mullet head boys in Conway.

Oh I’d say the love affair is over. They’ll move to UTEP or someone else in the (new) AAC stable. Never to early to start the promotion train!Yosefus wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 10:26 pmAs bad as last week was go over to espn and look at team stats for this game. I agree about the fans. Stadium looked and sounded great all the way to the end!

Re: In Game Thread
Great bounce back win mentally and physically for the program, top to bottom. Coaches and players. Ponce did a complete 180 from looking ill prepared against LALA to having a great gameplan with using Sutton as a decoy and stretching Malik through the middle of the defense. Dale Jones contained this prolific offense and Clark had the boys inspired. Loved being there

No he’s a bit more level headed. He did make it down to the field. Took pictures with Baer and Cobb.mountaineerman wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 12:38 amI hope he wasn’t one of the students stage diving off the brick fence pillars . Re: In Game Thread
At one point in the La game as we prepared to kick off I noticed that their front line on the return team only had maybe 4 guys. I yelled for us to try an onside kick. At that point I really wanted us to try something cool. That was probably the best executed onside kick I’d ever seen. We had probably our fastest available dude on the outside and the kick was perfect.

Re: In Game Thread
Exactly. When Cam is in there and effective, it gives Brice time and then both run game and pass game feed off eachother. I'll say it again, Brice throws the prettiest ball of any App QB.bigdaddyg wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 10:17 pmThat “first win over a ranked team” is nice but BS. Add in a Hornets 23 pt comeback. Now, if I can only get the Panthers to win and clean up in both my Fantasy Football leagues, I'll be on cloud 9 on Tuesday

Re: In Game Thread
So after the game, I'm walking up the hill to the old Quinn Center where Coastal busses etc were. One of the mullet wearing O Lineman was walking up talking on his phone crying to someone about how "rough" our fan base treated him. Crying about fans heckling him and "talking about his momma". The events of the Marshall game and spitting etc is one thing, but getting heckled by a fan with some elementary sounding stuff is ridiculous. I get worse playing puck up basketball on Tuesdays. Interested to hear the fodder from the mullet fans this coming week.
