Team Health
Does anyone have any insight. I was surprised to see Cone in for Small. Also, Peoples looked a bit hobbled after the TD run, but played later in the game.

Re: Team Health
Peoples has been battling an ankle injury for a few weeks. He was finally able to go some this week. Small took a hit and left the game last week. No specifics on the injury, but that would explain it.

Think Jolly didn’t finish the game. Haven’t heard anything but he was a game time decision going in.

Re: Team Health
Not to sell anyone short that remains on the schedule but our depth should pull us through fine now. The toughest games are behind us.
I had said the other day that AFTER we beat them I had hoped we would not rush the field because this win was expected. I can appreciate that whole beat a top 25 team but I think it should be with an asterisk. Overrated squad that had not beaten a quality opponent especially in this environment. College kids don’t see things the same way us old farts do. Let them have fun.

Re: Team Health
If I'm coldly analytical, I would agree with you. But, given our last game and how we played, I thought we'd lose for sure. Thankfully, my emotional side took over and I was ecstatic by the end of the game.bigdaddyg wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 10:38 amNot to sell anyone short that remains on the schedule but our depth should pull us through fine now. Heck, I'm an old fart, and if I could, I'd have rushed the field too!!!

Re: Team Health
I would like to think that we would be favored in every game. Given parity in college football, any team can win. ULM beat Liberty. Not saying LIberty is last year's Liberty team..but they are above average P5 school.
We need to prepare like every game is against a team like Coastal, Miami, Marshall, etc.

It amazes me that even a little hobbled...Cam has a way of finding the end zone...it's like he wills it and just makes it happen.

Re: Team Health
USA and ULM play this weekend. I'm very interested in the outcome given how well USA has been playing as of late and, of course, ULM beat Liberty. We have a ways to go before we can breathe easy.

Re: Team Health
We will definitely be favored going forward but they will all be tough. Louisiana was our one throw away conference game if you will. Let’s not forget southern dropped two games after our L in 2019 enabling us to host the championship game

Re: Team Health
We are VERY banged up at key positions, particularly RB and secondary.
Seeing how ULM and USA have performed of late, App cannot rest on its laurels.
The last thing anyone wants to see after last night's win in a packed KBS is a shocking loss over an overlooked opponent in a packed KBS...and on homecoming to boot.
