If he was never thinking of leaving then why come out with that whole long post? The rumor started because of his and his mothers words and actions. Why even create those rumors if you weren’t debating?
I wonder if he went to advisory board and did not like what NFL said or just had our coaches convince him a return was best for him?
Alright, what kind of NIL money did you promise him?

Happy to see that once again, the self proclaimed know-it-alls on this board were wrong. Part of me thinks that our program was better off when this board was offline.

Re: Peoples
Guys, I read an opinion online and therefore it must be fact. Until it isn’t. Then I can just backpedal like an all American DB and say it wasn’t fact. Then I can eat my chicken tendies.
Give 'em hell!

Re: Peoples
I have to say I did not see this coming but hoped that maybe the coaches would talk to him about his NFL stock and perhaps have an open conversation to see how they could ensure he returns.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 8:20 pmI knew he was coming back the whole time, I just wasn’t permitted to say anything.
We all don't see everything that goes on and just because the end result was the opposite of what several of us expected does not mean there was no chance he was leaving. The fact he came out to announce he would return shows that he realizes things he said and did caused many to question it.

Re: Peoples
There were several on 247 and here that thought he was likely gone, including me, and he definitely gave off hints that would suggest it. A couple folks on here piling on me but ignoring the fact that clearly he was thinking about leaving since he came out with that post to say he would return. College players with eligibility only need to say if they are returning when the public opinion is that they may be going. I have never heard of a backup or a player not getting any NFL interest announcing on social media that they would return.

Move along everyone. For Cam to put that much of a heartfelt tweet out there it had to be something he explored in depth. I’m glad he’s staying.

Re: Peoples
Exactly. I'm glad he ultimately decided to stay. I'm happy to be wrong on him leaving because I don't think he needed the fresh start that perhaps he and his family were considering. He could do major damage for us next year!

Good stuff, now we need to do right by Cam. Make sure he’s healthy and please, please, please find a way to get him the ball in space 3 or 4 times a game. Screen, swing pass in the flat. Something, anything, to get him in space with the ball!!!

Re: Peoples
Anytime I’ve seen him on the sidelines either TV or at the game he just looks like a young man who is having a great time and appears to really enjoy his team. I get the impression (maybe it’s just me) that he is a great teammate who is unselfish. I for one am glad to see him back. I hope he is 100% healthy next year and uses his 200 yard bowl output as a springboard to a great senior year.

Re: Peoples
I believe a lot of the People WAS leaving "Rumor Mill" had to do with fan over speculation from his mothers social media post. I know that she was upset and put some post out there that could be interpreted in may ways. Which she quickly deleted or explained further. I almost jumped on the Cam was leaving train until I started paying a little more attention and this dude is a huge supporter of AppState, and I mean all sports and team mates.
His season was riddled with injury and we all know that Clark doesn't give any information on injury reports and when he does it is very vague. I couldnt be happier about him staying and I think he will be a force next season as he has continued to be over his time at App, especially with the amount of experience returning in a already great offensive line.

Re: Peoples
I would say he put the statement that he is returning because AppNation has been none stop arguing that he was transferring over the last few weeks. It was on this site, BGP, TIGMA, and spewing on twitter. I would imagine this was his way of putting a stop to all the rumors and comments being out out there from Fans and Family and he wanted the water to be clear before going into the offseason, you gotta know that all the student athletes see that mess. I am ecstatic he is staying to say the least.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 6:30 pmSomeone said I would hide and in this case I’m glad to see he changed his mind. No reason to hide here.

I follow a few parents. Some I have met and have formed a relationship with, some just to follow. I don’t engage in any manner other than to be supportive or provide a word of positivity. I don’t follow players and I don’t talk to parents about anything football related.

Re: Peoples
He’s been turning heads in recent weeks with the success he’s been having in the playoffs. Packpride has a whole thread wondering why he hasn’t been offered yet. And he’s playing in the state championship at Carter Finely this weekend.
