With the JMU schedule being announced it appears as though the conference schedule going forward will give us 6 games against the east and two against the west. Do you think we simply drop two of the ones slated for next year or could things get moved around to give us Louisiana again next year?
Also, assuming Marshall is now a part of the conference schedule for 2022 do we play them twice as some have suggested or do we find another OOC game? Perhaps another home game in Boone?!?
I've also heard some say Citadel and/or A&M being replaced.
Would love to get everyone's thoughts and if you actually know something that's happening behind the scenes we'd love to hear it as well.
Sorry for a new thread but, I didn't want to carry this conversation on the Streamer Throwing JMU Pukes thread.

Re: Schedule Speculation
The Citadel and A&M appear to be on. Citadel announced it on their schedule, but the date changed from what was originally on FBSSchedule.com. Not sure what to make of that.
There was speculation that A&M was getting canceled, but as of Saturday, it is still a go. I suppose things could still change with that, but I don’t see it being likely.
As for the schedule for this year, it’s hard to say what the conference schedule will look like until we know about the CUSA 3. Playing Marsha twice does seem like a possibility.

Re: Schedule Speculation
I guess, since the teams moving to the AAC will still be CUSA next year, the conference would survive the football season, but I would still be surprised if CUSA DIDN'T make it tough. They will try to maximize their revenues and create a wind fall to carry them through the immediate future.

Re: Schedule Speculation
There is some speculation that the Sun Belt might forego divisions for a year. That could potentially ease the scheduling issues. Without the CUSA three, there would be five East teams assuming Troy switches. Either way, without the CUSA 3, the divisions would be unbalanced.
Edit: Gill said today that we will play divisions in the upcoming season. Again, without the CUSA 3, the divisions will be unbalanced.
