App Lands UNC Transfer
Grayson Atwood announced a couple days ago that he's leaving UNC to come play baseball for App. He would be a junior this season. Really solid player that got stuck behind guys like Cody Stubbs and missed out on playing time. Will be really good pick up for us once he's eligible.

It's been a challenging past couple of weeks but couldn't be more excited to be a part @AppBaseball! Thanks to everyone that's supported me.

Not sure if this is the guy but I have a friend at UNC that told me about a baseball player that was coming to App after getting kicked off of the UNC baseball team.

Nice pickup, looks like it was just a numbers game, and he was odd man out,

It appeared that another player was academically ineligible and was drafted by the Nationals. Academically ineligible at UNC-CHeat? Unpossible!App91 wrote:Doesn't look like he was kicked offHigh Country Student wrote:Not sure if this is the guy but I have a friend at UNC that told me about a baseball player that was coming to App after getting kicked off of the UNC baseball team.

Wow. He must have skipped the fake classes, and forgot to turn in the fake assignments....AppinVA wrote:It appeared that another player was academically ineligible and was drafted by the Nationals. I hate to give the heels any credit, but you got to admire the program they have built. This kid by all accounts probably would be a starter on any other program, or atleast a major contributor, and he cant get on the field at Chapel Hill, they seem to have 3 or 4 kids every year drafted in the first 5 rounds of the MLB draft, yes, it definitely helps they built a 30 MILLION dollar stadium, but with their recruiting pipeline, its probably just a matter of time before they win a CWS.

They do have a major recruiting advantage in that the highly touted Major League prospects know they wont have their baseball training interrupted by things like having to go to class or study.moehler wrote:I hate to give the heels any credit, but you got to admire the program they have built.
