Anyone heard how the Student Yosef Club membership drive is going? What was it before the announcement students needed to join to guarantee themselves a unc ticket?

Anyone heard how the Student Yosef Club membership drive is going? What was it before the announcement students needed to join to guarantee themselves a unc ticket?

Not sure exactly. I posted the news about UNC game on App. St Parents FB since I have daughter that currently attends. Several parents asked for more information...and over past few weeks some inquiries on how to join, etc.

My girl is an incoming freshman. We had full intentions of signing her up on move-in day (had no idea she could join beforehand). When she got the email about student ticket allotment, we went to the website and signed her right up for the 4 year plan! That’s been about 3 weeks ago, and at the time membership was just north of 4,000. Now I think it’s 6,500+! That jump has to be primarily students, given the timing.

I wonder what the SYC total was in May 2022 for comparison to above..

I imagine next week when the off-campus students arrive in Boone and get back into college mode and read their email there will be a big spike in the membership.

When I double checked my Yosef Club standing this morning, I noticed I had dropped 3 spots (no biggie.) However, I noticed overall YC Membership had increased to 6931 today from 6432 on 8/3, an increase of 499. I assume most, if not all, are SYC additions during this time period.

Student YOSEF numbers for 2022 were behind as compared to 2021 until they incentivized the priority for the UNC game.
I understand that for the UNC game, priority is given to SYC members and for student that are non SYC they enter a lottery
Thus the SYC #'s as of first of July were in the 600 range and now they are 3100+. That SYC # is record breaking.

Love to see the kids getting in the door and involved. Hopefully we can keep more of them around.

I see the Yosef club is up to 7,234 members. Assuming the student yosef club members are included in that?

Yep, they are. Massive increase due to the UNC game, happy to see App capitalized on the opportunity.
