APP v UNC - NEB tickets???

These could work in both EndZones. Dig out the hill and install these rollbacks.

This looks neat. Would allow for practice space since we use the game field for practice and for expanded seating.

There were other plans that didn’t work out. The initial plan was to put bleachers on Miller Hill for the season and renaming it Cline Hill. The company that was tasked with installing the seats, along with the AD determined that it wasn’t going to work due to grade, aesthetics, and site lines for the walkway behind the hill. When that fell through, the only viable option was to put the bleachers in the NEZ.

I know this is a stretch and would have taken a lot of work, but could we not have shifted some ticket holders for one game and put all of the UNC fans on the north side of the away stands, top and bottom sections? I would gladly move for a game to make sure we aren’t running out to a bunch of hole fans berating our players. Not a great welcome to the season, especially on home turf. I know there’s a lot involved in that, but this seems like the worst possible solution.

That’s a lot to ask from a staff that can’t get parking right.

I had commented on the thread discussing the camera view. I clicked on it the other day and saw some players headed back to the locker room. I try to keep some perspective with that camera shot as I don't know the exact dimensions but it looks like a narrow hallway so to speak between the two sections of temp bleachers. They can't exactly walk through the concourse and enter from the Miller Hill side and it will look bad to run in from the side. Obviously this is a seemingly minor thing but to go through such an extended effort for this game and have this potential issue is head scratching.

To each his own. I get what it looks like on the surface to be poor planning but that is far from the truth. I can assure you that this was not the first option and I can also assure you that this idea wasn’t sketched on a napkin last Tuesday. They have been looking at ways to coordinate this for over a year. Lots of moving parts and lengthy discussions needed to be had with the Administration, the Fire Marshall, and construction vendors.

Does the AD frustrate people because of consistently tripping over themselves? 100% yes. The more I read this board, the more I am convinced that people just can’t be pleased. “It’s a bad look to have our guys run through Carolina fans.” What’s the solution? Put the students there and put their fans behind our bench? Displace loyal, season ticket holding App fans from the top deck on the East side into the EZ and lump 3500 baby blue patrons together? How would that look on TV? 3,500 baby blue fans huddled together in a stadium that holds 23000 isn’t something that you can hide easily.

So here’s the deal. You continue to complain and voice your displeasure about things that you have zero control over or took zero effort to ask why it is what it is, cool. It is a message board and that’s what it’s for. I will continue to roll my eyes at the cavil, criticism and moaning. Because it’s a message board. Sound fair?

Add this to putting the visitor locker room on the west side so they need to run through our fans and across our field.

The master plan for the stadium has never been planned out, just piecemeal each step. This dates back to the Cobb days so some of this is playing the hand you are dealt as well.

I would have loved to have known, but that isn't an option since no one responds to phone calls or emails. So, all I have to go on is the optics. If that's complaining then so be it. Responding to your customers; that's what I call a minimal level of competence.

There is nowhere in the world I'd rather see a game than in Boone. My heart has been there for 40 years, even when I haven't, or can't. I want everyone who goes to have that same feeling. They don't and I know this because I've encouraged people to go to games there only to find out that their experience was not one that would make them want to go back. I can enjoy the game and still know there are problems. It won't be a distraction.

Every day that I wake up is a blessed day.
