Agree 100%. Our expectation as fans and our players expectation should be that a very good team is coming to town that wants to spoil our victory parade. I expect this coming Saturday to be a very tough game.

They did though the timing between QB and WR improved dramatically after the first 20 minutes.

FAMU’s QB is solid too, they got an opportunity to test themselves.

Anytime a team can play at live game speed - you get ALOT out of it. Definitely an advantage regardless of how people think they looked.

UNC is bigger, faster and stronger. We have an almost entirely rebuilt secondary (maybe a good thing). So yeah, we better bring pressure and quickly, or it could be a long day all over again. Hope Dale has a good game plan to disguise pressure and coverage.

I didn't see a lot of great big guys for the heels. We'll see but I think we will have similar size and talent. I do however think the week 0 game does tip the scales a little towards light blue though.

We say this every year. We have been holding our own against P5 schools for forever, and that was before we improved our caliber of player. I honestly can never understand this inferiority complex some of our fans have. Ok UNC has dudes with more stars next to their name. So what. Penn State, Tenn, Miami, UNC 3 years ago and USC did too. It’s about execution and a bit of “dog” in the player. And fortunately our program has that in spades. I heard the same thing last year before we went to Miami. No one knows what’s gonna happen but I’m over the fawning of UNC’s stars.

Carolina is certainly guaranteed to improve from week one. But that’s only because they have a great deal of issues to clean up. Their line play on both sides of the ball is questionable. They are a poor tackling team and their DBs couldn’t
cover guys. All of that can’t get fixed in a week.

Maye the guy at QB for UNC? He has the type of style that has given D. Jones Defenses fits over and over again through these many years. I didn't enjoy seeing that. I still think we win but that has now become my biggest worry.

That game gives Chexmix all the ammo he needs to light a fire under his D. Are they capable of responding?

Conversely, early pressure from us could cause Maye to get happy feet….we got to bring g the boom.

An old coach once told me that you improve more from game one to game two than at any other point in the season, if you are doing it right.No substitute for live fire.I do think that the atmosphere and the opposition will negate most of what they gained from last night.Hopefully we pick up a few things on film that will be helpful.I do know that our new OC has a few different ideas that I am excited to see playout Saturday and going forward.
