Time to start hydrating. Do you recommend water or Coors?
Is there a difference?
That was kind of my point. Lol.

Appalachian State Mountaineers at No. 6 Texas A&M Aggies (-19, 54)

The Bear: The Aggies weren't great last week, and this typically is a spot where I would fade a team with a big home game the following week, like A&M does with Miami. But Appalachian State's near upset of North Carolina after appearing completely beaten likely has the Aggies' attention. The Mountaineers probably won't find the A&M defense as soft as UNC's, and that could mean we get the blowout we were on the way to getting last week.

Pick: Texas A&M -19

I think/hope we make some secondary adjustments. Other than that position what is the next of concern tomorrow? I'm thinking defensive line depth. Hard to imagine a lot of push up front with 3 undersized dudes. Do we have decent depth up front to at least stay somewhat fresh? I like our backers especially with Hampton. Obviously we are deep and solid on offense.

Secondary by far the most concern. But LBs that drop into coverage and that play calls to not leave people wide open will play a part in defending their passing game. Their QB seems prone to throwing INTs, we would have to have a good amount of turnovers go our way to win I believe.

Turnovers + kick return TD are how we usually stay in these games. Who on our roster has the speed and vision of Virgil?

Tucker right now seems to be tabbed as the replacement. He did well on that last return to set up the final TD.

Big keys:

Avoid the dumb penalties on first down the puts us in 1st and 20 or 25.

Don't flub a kickoff and get tacked inside the 10. Seems to happen in a big environment

Substitutes need to be ready. We can't be out of sync and having guys running on the field looking to the sideline while A&M is ready- ala Miami a few years ago.

Involve the TE's. Seems to be a great option for us.

Chase quick decisions but watch their backers dropping into coverage

I know there are other opinions just saw it on ESPN and usually put up the articles that a lot will see about App this week. We do have good exposure this week playing a top 10 team. The bigger exposure would come if we can win.

I just don't have a good feeling about this game. I think we will find it very difficult to run on their D. I believe Chase is most effective when the run game provides the balance needed to keep the D honest. Nonetheless, looking forward to this game and lately we have been able to go toe to toe with the big name opponents.
