Coach Clark
I wanted to create a new thread just to highlight Coach Clark and his staff. After all the criticism he’s faced regarding big wins, this is a monumental moment for him.
So delighted for him and obviously everyone involved with the program. Cheers.

What a win. This team showed composure and played one HELL of a game. Congrats all around. Sunbelt is going to be TOUGH this year.

Re: Coach Clark
This is a signature win. A huge win that we dominated with a game plan that was executed to perfection. Congrats to Coach Clark, the entire coaching staff and of course the players who executed the game plan. I am still surprised that we won but I am really surprised at how we won, we were more physical, and they could not stop our offense. They literally could not get us off the field. We imposed our will on a top 10 team at their house with their star studded players. They had no answer for the Mountaineers. A great coaching job all around.

After some of the comments this week by some “fans”. They should be starting a thread apologizing for their complete lack of faith in our program.

Re: Coach Clark
The man ABSOLUTELY loves App State and the emotion he showed in that post game interview was fantastic. We can most definitely be upset with bad losses but some of you guys should be ashamed based on some of the BS you type on this forum. What a win

Re: Coach Clark
I am so happy for Coach Clark. We are lucky to have an App guy as the leader of the program. I'm thrilled for him to earn a signature win. Way to go having the team ready, the defense stout, and an amazing game plan on offense.

Re: Coach Clark
It was a hell of a win. I'll admit after running the clock out at the end of the first half I was thinking here we go again. Doh.
Game plan was worked to perfection. They just ground A&M into the turf for forty minutes.
Seriously. Start a GoFundMe to pay much money to Barbay. Some dude on Reddit was surely joking but said he was gonna plaster the name all over the place at Nebraska. Hah.

When people say why should we donate...This is why. SC LOVES this place and to keep these coaches we need money.

Doesn't matter. As the late coach here in York would say, "that's smoke up a dead horse's a$$!" 1-0 this week, getting ready to be 1-0 next week! Hall of Fame Game!dtrain4prez wrote: ↑Sat Sep 10, 2022 6:38 pmI completely agree....however, what in the hell happened last week?
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

I agree completely, starting with the pinheads screaming for Dale Jones' head. Defense gave up one TD today. The KO return was on special teams.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Sat Sep 10, 2022 6:39 pmAfter some of the comments this week by some “fans”. Re: Coach Clark
and Clark for Heisman.
I had concerns in season 1, and told myself it was his first year, and a covid year. But over the next couple of games I was concerned. I felt we had gone with a guy who wouldn't leave for a P5 coaching job, and going into this season I didn't think one would be coming for him.
But he just gave us " a big win." One that cements App State as a team the rest of the nation respects, and in many cases, admires.
Thank you, Coach. You earned every bit of this win. Ball management was incredible, belief in your team was inspiring.
You da man.

Re: Coach Clark
I don’t say this to detract from what the defense did today. They played extremely well, and were as dominant as we expect a Mountaineer defense to be.
With that said, the defense owes a great debt to Kevin Barbay and the offense (for execution). The d only had to be on the field for 18 minutes! That’s insane! And when they were out there, they balled out!
What a game plan and what execution all around, from both sides of the ball.
And kudos to our young kicker for overcoming some early demons and nailing the game winner when called upon.

Re: Coach Clark
We played a team that already played the rust off because Mack knew that would be crucial to playing us and paid FAMU even more money.dtrain4prez wrote: ↑Sat Sep 10, 2022 6:38 pmI completely agree....however, what in the hell happened last week?
Against UNC, the issue was communication with our secondary -- mainly safetys. The improvement between first and second games is the best improvement all year.
We fixed the communication issues this week after seeing it on film... UNC had that benefit before playing us.
Now we need to cheer for the Tar Holes and aTm to go undefeated the rest of the year

Re: Coach Clark
And how about the penalty he got standing up for his guys? Sometimes 15 getting a 15 yarder is a good idea.
