And he didn't need to as the penalities weren't against us... Negated the positive yards.

Re: Coach Clark
Coach, as most know, bleeds Black and Gold. Drinkwitz did not. I personally would take Clark every day of the week and twice on Sunday over Drink.
The culture of this team, unity, chemistry, etc is in tact because of culture and Coach Clark understanding its significance . Drink may have very well neutered our culture year over year if he’d stuck around.
Are there better coaches in the college ranks? Maybe/probably. Are there better coaches for App State at this point in time? I think not

Re: Coach Clark
I saw an article last week where Coach Moore was spending time on the sidelines at practice. Clark is still learning from the old Sage and it's showing in his confidence and the performance of his team.

Re: Coach Clark
Coach Clark is only in his third year and is still learning, but he has already shown to have a very good grasp of game management. He is way better in that arena than Satt ever was. Clark is going to be really good for us for a long time. He still has plenty to learn but he is well on his way. Huge win based on a great game plan.

I hope the OC loves Boone as much as we all do because I want him around for a while.

I know its early in the season but Admin has to figure out some money for these coaches. It just doesn't fall on the AD. It is truly amazing what APP has done with a revolving door of coaches.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sat Sep 10, 2022 7:23 pmI hope the OC loves Boone as much as we all do because I want him around for a while.

Although the yards may not have been gaudy ...our offensive line played great today...going against one of the highest paid DL and rated in all of college football

Re: Coach Clark
Our conditioning showed big today....running mountains could be seen in the 4th quarter. Our offensive line was still rolling and the Texas A&M D was done. They couldn't hardly get up off the ground after each play.
Congrats players and coaches...the hard work paid off today. Thanks for giving your all...TIGMA.

Re: Coach Clark
Let's give our coaches more reasons to stay. And by "reasons" I mean "dollars."
Friends, please support the Yosef Club!
It doesn't matter how much you can give, if you do a one-time donation or make a monthly commitment.
Every little bit means more now than ever!

Re: Coach Clark
On Coach Clark ...after game.. initially greeted fans on the exit to leaving the field.. .went back out to celebrate with team on field....then came back over to both sides of tunnel to greet fans again...for me, it is the little things that show fan appreciation...

Re: Coach Clark
Just watching his post game comments presser. EVERYTHING he says is both true and what a great coach will say. Giving credit to his players, and not taking any for himself, and giving respect to A&M. And thanking Everts and Gillan for their support. Told Doug to give the sports nutritionist a pay raise. Love it.
And of course he gives huge shout-out to all the fans that made the trip.

Re: Coach Clark
I'm not going to get into a back and forth, because we are all App State Fans and we're passionate about our team. But, at the end of the game and post game, the main point of the Announcers and Talking Heads was that we won this game because of the App State Football culture. And there are tons of teams who would love to have our culture (and our fanbase).
As i stated last week, the quick Clark hire preserved our culture, solidified our program (and recruits) and de-railed the revolving door. It doesn't mean Clark is perfect and he's certainly growing (has grown) into the roll as a head coach. Culture is probably the biggest asset that our program has and I thought last week and I think this week that DG did a great job of keeping us on track.
I'll add to that: I think we are lucky to have Dale Jones. I liked Roof, but Jones wants to be here and is willing to accept the pay level that we can provide. Again, having someone who understands our culture and wants to be in Boone going forward is an absolute asset to our program, and our recruiting efforts.
